Welcome to the 2026 Reapers season! Not much changed from the team last year, hoping to have guys develop and finally start seeing some results. The Reapers traded away Benintendi in the offseason and lost Wes Kath on waivers. This year is a make or break for a lot of guys on the team.

      Lineup:

      Dominic Fletcher – super consistent

Bobby Kirby – was the Reapers first round pick last year he gets the shot at third. Is a 78 overall high B potential 21 year old.

Colson Montgomery – solid year last year hoping he continues to develop

Luis Robert Jr – he’s back cross your fingers he doesn’t get injured

Andrew Vaughn – definitely a make or break year. He keeps developing so that’s encouraging

Joey Bart – giving him a shot at DH

Oscar Colas – was terrible last year when he got called up was good in spring though

Korey Lee – solid behind the dish more of a place holder for Quero

David Fletcher – gave him a one year deal to play second

      Bench:

Nick Senzel – brought back on a 1yr deal was solid last year

Nasim Nunez – was solid last year

Christian Pache – brought him back might be more for an defensive replacement

Brooks Baldwin – Rookie utility guy switch hitter was very good in the minor last year and had a good spring

Kyle Farmer – was solid last year brought him back again

      Rotation:

Garrett Crochet – hoping he can step up and become a number one

Mike Soroka – was okay definitely hoping for a bounce back

Jake Woodford – Hoping for a bounce back as well

Jairo Iriarte – not great when I called him last year hopefully he can make an impact

Drew Thorpe – definitely a make or break for him hasn’t been good

      Bullpen:

LRP – Devi Garcia – was solid last year

MRP – Steven Wilson – mister consistent

MRP- Ryan Yarbrough – rule 5 pick

MRP – Jorge Acala – hoping for a solid year

MRP- Ron Marinaccio – Waiver pickup from the Yankees wasn’t good last year hoping for a bounce back

SU – Justin Lawrence – gave him a 1yr deal

CL – Nate Pearson – hoping he can improve on a solid year last year

      Top prospects:

      Grant Taylor

      Jacob Gonzalez

      Noah Shultz

      Edgar Quero

      Samuel Zavala

The Reapers have the first pick in the draft this year. Going forward I'll be doing a season recap and a beginning season overview. Will also do updates if anything major happens such as trades or injuries.

Where do you access custom game entry options within franchise? Or is not available in Spring Training?

              2024 Oakland Athletics 05/28-05/30

Overall Record:25-33 (5th AL West/13.0 behind Texas Rangers)

              Game Results

              Game 1
              Athletics-6
              Rays-5

              Game 2
              Rays-2
              Athletics-1

              Game 3
              Athletics-4
              Rays-3

Athletics get series victory in last full series of May

The Oakland Athletics will go under .500 once again for the month of May but they did win their last full series of the month. Oakland won their series against the first place Rays, two games to one.

The A's scored the first run of the series in the very first inning when Shea Langeliers knocked in Esteury Ruiz who singled and worked his way around the bases. The Rays quickly matched that and then took the lead in the third inning when Rene Pinto and Josh Lowe combined for a pair of doubles to give Tampa the 2-1 lead. They added on in the fourth when Isaac Paredes hit his 13th homerun of the season. Oakland then went on to score in the 5th, 6th and 8th innings to take a 6-3 lead. Tampa would score two more in the bottom half of that inning before Lucas Erceg got his 14th save of the season in the ninth inning.

Game two was a low scoring matchup as the Rays took it, 2-1.

Esteury Ruiz was big in game three as he had three hits, a homerun and twp RBIS as Oakland won the game in extras, 4-3.

Oakland now looks toward June as they finish May with the first of three in Atlanta (30-26/2nd NL East/0.5 behind Phillies).

It can also be accessed from the calendar screen by pressing Start/Options. That's more useful if you're using a very strict importance setting and will likely be simming full games before you come to a situation where it asks for your input. In this case, you can also just use the sim through date or sim season options from the calendar and the sim will stop when it hits an important enough situation to prompt you to jump in (as critical situations did in earlier games).

The Blue Jays ended the first month of the season with a sweep of the Kansas City Royals thanks to a 2-run HR by Daulton Varsho in the bottom of the 8th inning in the last game of the series.

Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, they've lost Justin Turner (.277 / .299 / .554) in the first game of the series when he broke his hand while sliding to the 2nd base. He'll be out for 2-3 months. Eduardo Escobar has been called up.

Think I found a Freddie Freeman Regen. Lol don’t love the vision but we can work on that.

Actually maybe a little Rafael Palmeiro with the LF second position lol

Braves Fall in Four Game Series With Phillies

                              August 29-September 1, 2024

As bad as things have been for the below .500 Philadelphia Phillies, they have had success against Atlanta this season, having won two of the three series against the Braves now.

The opener featured a tough outing for Spencer Strider, who gave up four runs in the fourth inning before another chased him from the game in the fifth. The Braves would battle back methodically, scoring runs in five different innings and even had a lead heading into the bottom of the eighth, but Chris Martin gave up a run off of a Bryce Harper double before Kyle Schwarber walked it off in the bottom of the ninth off of a changeup from AJ Minter in a 7-6 loss for the Braves. Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna each hit homers and Olson accounted for three RBIs in the loss.

The second game featured another less than stellar start, as Max Fried also didn't make it through the fifth inning, giving up four runs that included homers from Trea Turner and Alec Bohm. Atlanta would gets homers from Ozuna and Orlando Arcia, but it wasn't enough in a 4-2 loss.

Atlanta got a 4-2 win in the third matchup, as Chris Sale put together an excellent performance, giving up one run in six innings. Dylan Lee would give up a run, but Martin, Minter, and Raisel Iglesias would close it out. Ozzie Albies hit a homer while three hit efforts from David Fletcher and Austin Riley was enough to push for the win.

The last matchup was a blowout win for the Phillies, as they touched up Charlie Morton for five runs in 3.1 IP before scoring three more against the bullpen. David Fletcher went deep, but the offense only mustered up seven hits and three runs in total.

Despite the series loss, the Braves still stand at 96-43 and will now head home for a three-game set against the Colorado Rockies, who gave Atlanta fits by winning two out of three in Colorado a few weeks ago. Atlanta will look to rebound this time.

Cardinals swept by Cubs heading into All-Star Break

The Cardinals (51-46) were swept by the Cubs in a 3 game series in St.Louis over the weekend to close out the first half of the season. The Cardinals are still just a 1/2 game behind the Brewers who continue to struggle themselves. The Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, and Reds are all within 3 games of each other. The Pirates are the outlier at 13.5 games back.

The offense was atrocious this series. The Cardinals managed 5 hits. That's not a misprint, the Cardinals managed 5 hits in the 3 game series total. They got one hit on Friday, 2 hits on Saturday and Sunday each. Pitching was decent but its tough to overcome that big of a failure at the dish.

The Cardinals will head into the All-Star break looking to get right when the 2nd half of the season starts in Atlanta with a 3 game series against on Braves.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
