MLB the Show 25 The Mets

I hear that we are the front runners for Soto and have interest in Adames.

There are a LOT of rumors going around about what moves are being made.

Cohen is definitely going to make some moves because we have 180 Million dollars leaving the payroll.

On next years game the Mets should have a good roster to work with.

As long as The Show has the Cohen budget in the game, I dont believe I will have trouble constructing a roster. I just hope if we dont sign Soto IRL, I hope whoever he does sign with, its after something like Feb 26ish, the default roster should be locked in, and I would try to sign Soto to a one year deal if he would accept it. But what I really want is anupgrade in pitching. Tho to be fair, I want that every year lol.

I have read that Cohen is pursuing Corbin Burns. He is supposed to be a priority right along with Soto. Burns might be a better signing than Soto.

I would love to have Corbin. I really cant imagine he would stay in Baltimore, considering they didnt play well in the second half of the season. Might as well meet the Mets, get a great contract and have a chance to play on a team that could do something really special. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the only way Baltimore is playing in Oct. 2025 is if its in somebody's Show Franchise.

Baltimore has arguably the best core of young stars in the game today though........

Another rumor is that Cohen doesn't want to pay Alonso $200 million.

If we can get Pete for a lower price AND get Soto and/ or Adames then that is a MAJOR win.

Pete having a off season may work in our favor.

If Pete is still a free agent on the default roster, I will let him walk. And not because of money, I'm more than willing in MLBTS to spend every dollar Cohen has in our budget. And not because I dont like Alonso. Polar Bear Pete is already one of my all-time favorite Mets. But in the Show, I press too hard every at bat with Pete. I feel like I'm trying to hit 500 homers in a season with Pete and I have yet to even hit thirty in a year, and havent hit over .250 with him either.

Because its supposed to be about the Mets as they pertain to and within the MLBTS universe, the Show-niverse, if you will. It wouldn't make much sense to put it in a different forum.

Speaking of that what I hope is they get the Mets budget right in the new game. Cohen pretty much has a unlimited budget now that all that money has come off the Mets books.

The word is that the Mets are closing in on signing Burnes.

At this point that is just a rumor until it actually happens.

Senga and Burnes at the top of the rotation would give the Mets a good staff on the game next year. Very solid one two punch.

Hopefully Cohen can also some triple A quality pitchers that we can experiment with by bringing them up to the majors.
We need a deeper bullpen in the minors AND majors in next year's game.

Mets trade for Jose Siri. Big move for the outfield depth in next year's game. Excellent defensive CF. In MLB the Show a good defensive outfield is worth its weight in gold. Good outfield defense helps to lower the ERA of all your pitchers.

His hitting wasn't good last year but he did hit 18 HR.

Be thankful you have Ownership willing to spend money and a GM who wants to actually build a Team.

Wish I could say the same for my Mariners. Dipoto sucks

What is Frankie Montas overall? I loaned my copy of 24 out to a friend. I don't imagine the last update roster would have his overall much different in 25.
