    I think because .....

    1) I don't view him as an all or nothing hitter old school power hitter, he can walk and hit for average too.

    2) he should be getting as many at bats as possible. If he bats second he can have a guy in front of him that takes as many pitches as possible so he can see from the on deck circle and then get him up there asap. Then if he gets pitched around, Lindor will reap the benefits.

Just my take on it. I am simply a dude with no actual qualifications LOL

The main thing is he would be guaranteed an AB in the first inning.

I see what you are saying. Modern baseball thinking is VERY different than traditional strategy.

Why give all those extra at bats to a hitter with a weaker bat and lower run production when you can put Juan Soto there and follow him up with Lindor.

In modern baseball you 2 and 3 hitters drive your offense. Starters don't go as long so you attack the pitcher in the lineup as soon as possible.

Not crazy about keeping Clay Holmes for my 25 franchise. I already got the Yankee I wanted. I'm sure I'll trade Holmes first thing straight away come March.

I am praying that we can sign Sakasi. That will be the second top starter we need at the top of the rotation with Sengai.

I do however like how he keeps on adding options to the staff and bullpen.

Mets resign Manea and are likely going to resign Alonso as well.

I think we are also going to sign an additional starter as well.

Next year's team on the game is going to be second only to the Dodgers!

I am fully expecting to win 100+ games on next year's franchise. This team should dominate most of the National League. I can't guarantee a World Series because of the Dodgers.

I hate LA and in my next MLBTS franchise, I'm playing as two teams in 25. One, first and foremost is my Mets season of 162 games. Secondly, I'm also playing as every 162 Dodger opponents. I plan on doing everything I can to derail a championship for LA in 25. And if they manage to foil my sabotage, I will play everyone of their playoff opponents too lol. Whatever it takes, I'm stopping LA somehow someway. Whatever it takes.

With another move or two by Stearns LA will be our only competition.

If and when Pete resigns the lineup is set.

I definitely want to bury that team next year. That is our main rival. The Phillies and Braves are small potatoes.

I am still hoping for some more moves to make the roster stronger on next years game.

There are a lot of rumors going around.

Some people say that the Mets are trying to get Vlad Jr. in a trade.

Some rumors say that Pete is close to signing. Others have us linked to Bregman and Santander.

Disappointed that we missed out on Burnes.

Everyday a different player is going to a different team lol. I pay no attention to rumors unless it comes from the team or player.

I hear the chatter and find it mildly amusing to listen to, but I sure don't put any stock into those rumors until there's an actual deal in place and signed.

Re: MLB the Show 25 The Mets

My only issue is that I wish there was more of a final roster ready.

I like to download the latest roster and then start a franchise and play 40 or 50 games with it. I use that as my spring training. It is a good way to get to know the new players on the team.

I am trying to hold out as long as I can before I start my spring training.

So many rumors are going around with the Mets it is hard to say what is true.

I wouldn't mind a trade for Vlad Jr but why give up your young prospects. Just wait until next off season and outbid everyone like we did with Soto.

Satander would be a good pick up. The roster in 25 definitely needs another bat. This Alonso soap opera is getting ridiculous.

It’s more than a month to go until Spring Training starts, so we have a few weeks before guys start getting signed. It’s the new trend in baseball where the big names go early and everyone else goes a week or so before they have to report.

Man, I'd love to get Luis Castillo from Seattle and have him at my disposal in my 25 franchise. Even if it means giving up Ronny Mauricio for him. Hope there's merit to that trade rumor.
