I wouldn't play Vlad a lot at third, his arm strength is like 65ish, and his accuracy is even lower, like 55ish. But he could definitely get some innings in there at the hot corner, to spell whomever needed a break.

He’s not going back to 3B. Just based on his size and lack of agility at this point, 1B gives him the best opportunity to focus on his bat while being a serviceable defender.

Funny enough Alonso was a 3B coming up in college and was moved to 1B early for the same reasons.

My context is in the Show, his reaction and fielding are good enough, his arm strength fringey, but his accuracy cinches it that I wouldn't play him at third too often.

I was just saying what has been reported. They asked him if we signed Alonso would you play some 3B and he told them he would. But as Ghost had mentioned he is speaking more in MLB the Show terms so . Lets hope this is all for not and Alonso due to a slow market finds his way back on the Mets

I was trying to figure out if there is anymore room on their 26 man roster so we know if they will take anyone else. They might have the best roster on paper ever seen.

Yeah, the first thing I plan on doing in MLBTS25 is go to playoff mode and play a quick series against LA to see how well we match up with them when it comes down to nut cutting time.

Haha uhhhh is The Show even going to be able to handle the Dodgers payroll in franchise mode and during the subsequent years of our franchises or is it going to break the game? Guess it only matters if the salaries/payrolls are "realistic" to begin with?

Yeah, its alot to chew on when considering budgets in MLBTS. Looking at the way they handled LA in 24, their budget is in the neighborhood of $355 mil. They had Ohtani set up at $460 mil total instead of $700, and $46 mil a year instead of $2 mil. I guess thats a compromised solution they reached to bridge the Show with IRL.

So then looking at reducing Ohtani's $46 mil a year down to $2 mil a year, that reduces LA's budget considerably, from around $355 mil to $311 mil. It'll be interesting to see if 25 narrows the gap of IRL and MLBTS with anything new, budget-wise and its logic.

They should fire Stearns and bring back Eppler or Alderson. Cohen should also sell the team back to the Wilpons. Clearly neither Cohen or Stearns are actually trying to compete as they haven’t signed any big free agents and are content ending up just being like the Marlins.

Looking at depth charts I think Mets,Braves and Phillies are all very close and things can fall 1-3 in any order.Injuries will likely be the difference.

We dont need Eppler or Alderson either. Ownershipwise, Cohen is the best thing that could have happened. Soto was kind of a big signing. Maybe we just havent hadenough big signings.
