We dont need Eppler or Alderson either. Ownershipwise, Cohen is the best thing that could have happened. Soto was kind of a big signing. Maybe we just havent hadenough big signings.

Sal L on WFAN has lost his mind. He is totally convinced that Vlad will be our first baseman on opening day. The Jays did not sign Santander to trade Vlad before the season even starts

I was 100% being sarcastic.

While I do share some of your frustration, nobody has really signed anyone yet, so I’m waiting until spring to see what the roster ends up looking like.

Also that dude is such a character. He has to play the annoying over the top fan just to get some views, which always cracks me up. It’s even funnier when he has to flip flop his stances on SNY when what he “wants” doesn’t happen. Always too funny.

While I do share some of your frustration, nobody has really signed anyone yet, so I’m waiting until spring to see what the roster ends up looking like.

I find him entertaining but he is way off on this one. No shot they spend on Santander, possibly spend on Pete are in a weak AL and they say, Hey lets trade Vlad. They will play it out and if they can not sign him so be it he hits the market.

I'm loving the everybody plays everybody schedule. Wherever Alonso winds up, if he doesn't remain a Met, he will have to face us, barring injury. And if he goes to the Angels, and I'm hearing its a possibility, my goal is to ring him up with 10 K's in my MLBTS 25 franchise..

I can't stand any LA team, and while its usually the Dodgers and Lakers I root against, the Angels aren't very far behind them, in my disdain list.

Mets might have interest in Max Scherzer again

Pete Alonso met with Angels today

Mets considering trade for Tigers number 1 pick from a few years ago Spencer Torkelson


If not Alonso I would like a flier on Torkelson high upside still only 25

MLB needs to do something to offset the salary/tax differences and then guys will sign there. It’s an amazing city to visit and live and the team does have great history. Would be amazing to see them and the Orioles leading the AL East again.

I’d be all in on Scherzer for the right price. Pitched well in that first year and still has it when healthy. Torkelson is worth the risk as long as they don’t give up too much. Solid at 1B, still years of team control, has a ton of pop that wasn’t fully utilized in Detroit. If he can stop chasing so much like he did last year, he’d be a great replacement for Alonso.

In Texas there is no state tax.

So which jersey will the Mets be getting rid of this year? They revealed a new blue alternate today with New York script on it. I assume they’ll replace the blue jersey with Mets across the chest. I can’t see them getting rid of the home white or road gray. The black jerseys have been popular since their return. They barely wore the blue jersey last year so I would assume that’ll be the one to go.

Yes that too, but they still pay for taxes on the road games. I was more so mentioning the exchange rate difference and higher overall taxes in Canada.

I wish it was replacing the black jersey, but I think it’s the blue one. I hope it’s not the road grays.

My only issue with the uniform is that it should’ve been like the road blue batting practice jersey from 1987 with gray lettering instead of the blue on blue.

it will be interesting to see if the fact that the Mets are something like $70-80 million under budget from last year will be reflected in this years game.

I just want the ability to have a budget to make some actual moves.

If the developers get that right I will be pleased.

Another question is will the Mets new road alternate jerseys be reflected in the game or will it be something they forget about.

Since the Mets haven't signed anyone significant since Soto I have changed my expectation from 100 wins to 90.

I am aiming for a 90-72 season like the 84 Mets. Hopefully I can snag a wild card.

We have holes in the rotation and in the lineup.
