      Very interesting if accurate.

I also find this interesting. Cinematic experience. Makes me wonder if you select one of the story options maybe you get some pre game highlights or something?

Agreed...though it *seems* like a reasonable review.

My hope is that this will be what "storylines" adds, though I'll wait and (this time) won't get my hopes up.

My continued cynicism today had my first thoughts as "well yeah, we already have to choose who to develop and which old guys to cut loose because we only have 93 roster spots, scouting and investing in it is already there to a 'meh' degree...you just pay more to hire better scouts, and working with a budget has already been a thing.", but the thought of "Managing resources also involves improving scouting and training facilities, funding player development programs, and investing in new technology to stay competitive." seems cool, *IF* true.

That article is just stating what you can already do in Franchise mode and making it sound like it’s new. Thats how these borderline bogus game review sites get clicks, by acting like they have “new” information that nobody else has mentioned yet.

If SDS added any additional brand new features, they would’ve told us about them during the stream and highlighted them. So don’t get your expectations up that anything else that is brand new is coming because it’s not.

I assemble the final pieces of my team thru free agency instead of the draft because I just can't get invested in the a seven round draft, so I'm glad they went all out on improving free agency this year.

If Sony would put this kind of TLC into the draft and double the amount of draft rounds, I'd be in baseball heaven.
Hopefully we don't have much longer wait until the organisation roster hit triple digits.

The draft is short because of the roster size. They put a lot of time into the draft last year, it’s just a matter of getting the roster sizes to 120 and then they can add draft rounds to help fill out the rosters.

Yeah I agree. That’s why I threw in the if accurate.

The draft would make SO much more sense, and progression would be a lot closer to fine simply by growing the roster size.

I absolutely think that drafting a high potential/low overall 18 year old and giving him the time to potentially grow would work with the larger size, but it's almost impossible to justify having someone sit in A and taking up one of those roster spots when it'll be 3-4 years before they're even serviceable at AA.

I agree but in the mean time the developers said age will be valued in trades and therefore in my Pirates relocated franchise I plan to trade youth to fill multiple weak spots in the rotation and lineup.

If its reliable I can't say but I found this intriguing if true
I would have like to see them spend more time on the new trade dynamic. I use self imposed restrictions and I'm curious what changes have been made.

But if I said I don't know the answer versus I can't say because of NDA, does that mean the customer will then wait for confirmation of something being in the game before buying?

Me: I can't say because of NDA
Customer: They are being deceitful, so I'll buy the game and hope that what I want in is actually in the game.

Me: I don't know the answer
Customer: Ok I'll wait before purchasing the game until I know for sure.

Correct. And this is why the NDA is in place . . .
                          because if you said:

CB: "It's not in the game"
Customer will then say: "Thanks, I'm not buying it."

You are forced to say NDA so the company doesn't lose sales if the answer is, "no, it's not in the game."

If the goal of the video was to sell people on franchise perhaps they should have spent more time on other things like new trade logic and changes to scouting which were mentioned but not shown.

Judging from the live chat I don't think this video was a complete success and that's not to say the new free agency isn't good. The obviously did a lot of work on it.
