So my first game I play the opener 4-0 cruising and in the 8th mookie makes a error cubs put on 4 but I win 7-4 love the way it plays

Explain though is this a bug? Error happened on lead off 0 out

No more errors happen how does Yates give up 4 unearned runs?? Shouldn’t it be 3?? Phillips came in gave up 2 of those runs Yates hat put on base

Pretty sure 3 of those runs should have been earned so no dodger pitcher gave up a earned run from 1 error lol makes no sense

Whenever there is an error when an out should have been made, any run that scores after there are 2 outs in the inning will be scored as unearned, since you should've been out of the inning already.

Honestly, this pissed me off. I feel like buying the ps5 pro was a complete waste of money. So Sony won’t release a ps5 pro enhanced version. So a 1st party game won’t be enhanced for a console they charged us $700 for. This is why we need competition and hope to the heavens we get another mlb company to make mlb games as well. This is simply unacceptable.

Played a full franchise game reds vs giants. Gameplay seem the same if its not broke dont fix it. Playing on hitting all star pitching hall of fame. I had one issue where i was trying to throw the ball but its like pump fake and I couldn’t throw and gave up two runs. I didnt know ambush hitting was only for zone. So now i am switching to zone so i can use ambush hitting. Sucks a lot of the coaches still aren’t part of the mlbpa. Not sony fault. Love the sounds of the bat is really good.

Since your playing franchise, any insight on the “storylines” feature we saw in the preview but they didn’t go over?

It says SET THE DESIRED VIEWING ANGLE WHILE PITCHING.

Anybody figured out how?

You can do it there in the section you are highlighting or go to the “Cameras” option in settings in the actual in-game menu. There you get a preview of the camera as well and can setup your custom camera there if you want a custom camera selection.

Is that was you are asking?

We don’t get to see pitchers warming up in the bullpen anymore. Minor thing overall, but it seems like they’ve removed or changed several “minor things” and it’s lessened the overall quality of the presentation and gameplay.

Edit: I should add that I’m talking about when you enter your bullpen view when pitching. Just brings up the list of your pitchers against a dark backdrop. No warming up view.

That’s a really weird and unwelcome change. I wonder why this decision was made

I was looking forward to this game on the pro. Glad I didn’t pay extra to be disappointed. I honestly feel like I shredded $700 buying the pro. Before I bought the pro I remember Sony saying ALL future games will be enhanced for the pro. It’s been close to 10 years of this game simply looking the same and not improving graphically.

Absolutely insane to me that they still haven’t fixed the out of town scoreboard in left field.

Did they update Carlos Mendoza?

Yup not only that but the backstop too they still have that tv behind homeplate lol �� I never seen a tv there all this time I been going too citi field.. I know Steve Cohen got money but damn lol .. I think Mendoza was updated but I don’t know if that’s officially him looks like him though..

Why would you or anyone expected something different?
The game barely looks like an actual PS5 title. Why would you believe there's any upgrade that needs better hardware when the base hardware isn't even remotely challenged by the game?


I've seen a few people annoyed by this and this truly astounds me.

I'm about 7 innings through my first spring training game and i'll give my first impressions:

The Good:
-Overall feel of the game: Graphics feel good, fresh. I know there wasn't a huge graphic upgrade like everyone wanted, but there are definitely improvements over last year.

-Sounds: The bat sounds feel louder, when you foul off a pitch and hits the net behind home, you hear it. Its subtle, but you hear it.

-Player Models: I feel like player models are much improved.. everyone feels "thinner" which I think is a good improvement. (My only gripe is Marcel Ozuna looks like he has the same body shape as Jurickson Profar, and i'm sure there are others.)
In addtion to player models, i went through the braves roster last night and went to edit players to see how it all looks. I went on austin Riley and wow - I thought that part of the player was incredible. I'm not sure if its the lighting in that screen but the visuals JUMPED out at me. Players look really good.

-Uniform look - I personally feel there was improvement on look of uniforms like they said there was going to be.


The Bad (early on, but the things I don't like BUT not deal breakers):
-No doubt Home run camera - I had one no doubt home run, I didn't care for that angle at all. Maybe its something I got to get used to, but not a fan.

-Visual of bullpen pitchers warming up. I cannot seem to find it - they took away our D-pad quick glance at the bullpen; it'll take you too the bullpen screen, but I feel like its clunky IDK.

-Home run distances as soon as the ball lands/crosses the wall. Seems cartoony, i'm not a big fan of that. I'd rather see the distance on the replay.

Will check back in if theres anything else I notice.

It’s the same. PS5 Pro owners should definitely be mad/disappointed, but what I will say as someone on XBSX is that it still will look better and run smoother than on a PS5 similar to how the XBSX version looks much better than the XBSS version.

The lighting looks better than last year and it runs smoothly, so I’m not sure what the PS5 Pro enhancements would’ve done to make it look any better based on how the game looks on default. Its never been a cutting edge graphically demanding game (most sports games aren’t), but you still should see it run smoother/better.

Also it’s nonsense that Sony would put PS5 enhanced and then remove it once it was confirmed by SDS. Sounds like Sony trying to sell more consoles by putting it on games before it’s actually announced.
