I may try to follow in your footsteps! Any pieces of advice for making such an efficient run?

Really wasnt that hard. I just lost my turn 4 steal fans phase to the Orioles, I regret that and it might end up costing me. Probably should have just played a **** team on legend instead of them.

This game is obsessed with making you hit doubles. Soooo many missions that need you to accumulate them.

Anything requiring doubles or assists makes me wanna punch a baby. I think ive said it 423942 times but its a clear F.U. to not just make them extra base hits instead of doubles, I shouldnt be mad that I hit a homerun. Im currently trying to get 80 assists with my created short stop. He refuses to drop a 3rd strike so I have to just leave him at short stop. I needed 36 hits which I finished forever ago, but im only like half way with the 80 assists. How do they come up with these numbers? They should some what correlate with eachother but they dont at all. Im trying to just pound the computer with sinkers but they still just hit a ton of fly balls.

I don't think Gonzo's stats count towards the Doby career arc. Isn't he a Breakout player, or at least something other than an All Star? I'm using Richie Ashburn, Matt Joyce and now Edmonds. Joyce and Edmonds rake for me, and Ashburn gets on base a lot in front of them. I think outside of those three, there may not be another All Star OF you can get right now without completing a collection or another career arc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't know how I didn't see that. I think I got Williams' and Doby's arcs mixed up, and just lumped Gonzalez in with Doby. Damn, that sucks. Thanks for pointing that out.

I hit good with Ashburn too, but he's not gonna solve my HR problem. I guess I can still plug him in at 2B for the time being and get some runs with him.

Yeah, I'm gonna put Joyce in for Gonzalez and stick Ashburn at 2nd. Then leadoff w/Ashburn, Edmonds been in the 3 spot and have Joyce cleanup or 5th. I didn't hit all that well with Joyce until the very end of me needing to finish his program, so hopefully that hot streak continues.

Tomorrow I should have the Saberhagen and Sutton career arcs complete! Two 90 SP's to put in the rotation with 85 Hamels and I'm pretty damn happy about it. Now I don't have to worry about SP goals too much with these 2 done

I really want that diamond Wagner...so might full the bullpen with LHP and try to get to work on saves/holds in conquest games.

EDIT: I need like 1 run for the AS OF stats and like 8 AB's with Billy Williams to get like 50% done with him. His unis/hats are super expensive so gonna hold off on him.

Finished off Yankees, Sox and Orioles in a 4 turn run so pretty happy with that. Probably take a little break from conquest again.

I dont think I ever even had to play a stronghold on legend, maybe the Yankees. Sox I played on HOF and Orioles I beat on all star to finish it. Plus I lost my turn 4 steal fans game.

So I finished the last of the Conquest 1 program today. I am still a little unsure about Conquest Extreme even though, as a cardinals fan I would love that Molina card. I don't know if I have the skill to consistently win on the higher difficulties.

I looked at the career arcs and may pick one or two of those but i am kind of waiting to see what the team epics will require before I use any of my stubs on hats and jerseys needed before you can even start the lesser programs.

The only thing I really have outstanding at moment is that I need 2 more steals with Harold Reynolds. He just went O for 5 or something in a game where I had 20 plus hits and even the pitcher got two hits. Sad thing is I probably won't even use Reese over Desmond.

If you cant hit with him, just leave him on your bench and pinch run after a single. Steal second and third and youre done.

Finally unlocked the Diamond Nolan Ryan and I have to say I’m disappointed. His Gold relief pitcher card is much better. I had the diamond Ryan last year and loved pitching with him but this year his fastball is topped at 95 and his accuracy is real bad. The gold relief throws over 100 mph and is a strike out machine.

Having been thrown out 100 times stealing with old man Griffey, I'd recommend stealing third, it's much easier and you don't get picked off so much. Also you can return to the bag easily if you don't get a great jump. Also if stealing 2nd, wait for a 2 ball or 2 strike count as the computer never slide steps once you get to 2 of either

I'm going to try to do this exact thing. I didn't have time to start the run today. Is it even possible to get to the Yankees without playing them on Legend? Just eyeballing the map, it looks like you can just barely get there in two turns, even with fan stealing. Also, do you play the games to take over non-stronghold spaces that a CPU team occupies when you're making your way to your destination? There doesn't appear to be a clear path to the Yankees, so at least one confrontation looks necessary before getting to New York.

Also, I'm at 25% now. I beat the Dodgers on Legend today. Luckily I avoided Kershaw and Hill...ended up drawing Maeda. 3-0 win that came down to the wire as they had the bases loaded with Justin Turner up in the bottom of the 3rd. Benoit came through and got the flyout I needed. Slowly but surely making progress!

Larry Doby is 45% complete but I'm almost done with LF/RF and jersey exchanges. The two 10% objectives aren't hard (15 H + 1 HR) so I should have him complete today if I get a couple hours later on.

That would give me 3 90 OVR players...and I'm a no extra money spent on the game player. I'm at around 20k stubs right now too.

Let us know if Saberhagen is worth the jersey/hat investment! I did the Sutton, and while I love his card, I know it would be terrible for online play since his fastball hovers around 90, which has to feel like 70 right now
