Currently investing in memorabilia for team epics. Might start investing in cards too. Legit just going to spend as many stubs as I can as cheap as I can to load up my inventory.

Working on team collections. Getting all the 25 collections done then going after all the full team collections that don’t require a diamond.

Funny when the game first came out I thought rookie seemed harder than veteran but then I started smoking the CPU on rookie. After the last patch I feel the CPU plays a little better on rookie but it’s still an easy win. I have actually allowed the CPU to tie ganes so I can get guys up to complete missions and still win. I do get ganes where I just fly out or hit weak grounders a lot and have seen more extra inning games but I wonder how much of that is complacency on my part knowing it’s on rookie....swinging at everything and not focusing on pitch location as much for example.

I have had my biggest games on rookie, but, I have had some real stinkers too. Mostly I have noticed the computer hitting better on Rookie. At first I was striking everyone out and now I give up some hits and runs. Not striking out nearly as many. I pitch the same strategy all the time against the CPU. Don't change anything.

In fairness I haven't played much since Far Cry 5 dropped. I was giving up runs on rookie before that. They may have tuned it back or something.

I actually hit better on HOF as far as hits and runs. Not that I hit any homers...lol

I put MLB aside after I got my first Lost Connection error that cost me a mission. That was the Sunday of early release and it is what actually prompted me to buy Far Cry 5 on Monday.


Far Cry 5 owned my time for the next two weeks and I just started back into this game last weekend (and have been disconnect free - knock wood)

At 50% or more on all the minor programs. 4 hits with Neil Walker is proving to be quite a bitch though.

I've got most of them done. Only ones I still need to finish are Saltalamacchia, Brock Holt, Daniel Nava, Matt Joyce and Mike Pelfrey.

I finally got Neil Walker the other night.

I can't believe how long it is taking me to get 2 hits and 2 runs with Brock Holt. It's crazy.

Finished a few of the programs tonight (Brock Holt, Emilio Bonifacio)...but I am still stuck on some of these Conquest player missions.

Eric Karros and Shawn Green are the last two of them I have to do, and no matter what, I can't get them completed.

I will say...I did manage to complete the JD Martinez, Matt Kemp, Henderson Alvarez and Brandon Crawford missions all in the same Conquest game this evening!

So I FINALLY got the AS OF stats for Doby (on a Matt Joyce HR, in a game the computer was soundly beating me. Made it worth it). Got his Diamond card, which you need 1 HR with to finish his. Put him 2nd in the lineup, and the 2nd pitch thrown to him went bye bye. Edmonds comes up 2 batters later, and naturally goes yard again, after me playing like 10 games trying to get that last HR.

So I got Doby, Sutton & Saberhagen done. Need 25 innings with Morris and 49 with Smith and they'll be done. Carter, Molitor & Hoffman complete as far as you can go at the moment. As far as the others, I wouldn't mind having the Williams, Utley & Torre cards, but it basically comes down to whether I wanna buy the jerseys and hats, as that'll be an investment, and I feel like it's just not worth it at the moment. I really haven't even started Williams' arc. I have the Gold Utley and Hanley, but haven't even gotten the Silver Torre.

As far as the minor ones, I'm currently trying to get Hanigan done, not fun. I haven't even unlocked Walker, Barney, Mendoza, Heisey, Raburn, De Aza & Nava. Everyone else is done.


I keep looking up at them Immortals, and can't help but remember the exchange requirements. Ugh, I wish they weren't so harsh, but I guess that's the point. Whatever the case, since I don't see myself pouring all them stubs into jerseys and hats, I guess I'll have to settle for their mid-tier cards.

Have pretty much all of the basic flashback programs done apart from Neil Walker and Matt Joyce who i only need another 4 rbi's with.
Walker is proving tough as i can usually only get two hits with him.

Am going through normal conquest again to try and finish a few of the career arc missions (lee smith saves, saberhagen wins etc).

Just trying to stack my lineup with as many players that go towards missions as possible.

Conquest extreme scares the hell out of me, as i struggle with anything above all star.

Also need to try and make stubs, anyone got a good way to make stubs?

If you can play (re: win) on All-Star consistently, HOF isn't too bad. Just gotta take a few games to adjust. My problem is Legend. That is not fun.

I messed around flipping cards on the market last year for a bit, and if you're patient and know what to look for, it's a good way to bump your stubs up. I don't know why I haven't done any this year, but I just don't have the desire. Maybe I'll resort to that if I find myself wanting to finish an Immortal or two.

Kind of stuck for things to do at the moment, mainly just a few grindy missions that don't require any particular mode. Kind of looking forward to the Team Epics just to give some incentive to play a specific thing. At the moment I'm just completing conquest again while grinding out some holds and lefty saves

I really want that 88 Wagner so I'm grinding the LHP holds/saves. Just go into conquest and fill the pen with LHP. Pitch 1 inning, get a lead...then you change a pitcher for each out. You get 5 holds + 1 save every game.

I think try to knock out some stats towards my immortals (Griffey/Ripken/Jones) while I play
