Got a plan post-conquest now - I'm going after Ruth. Really, I'm going after Billy Williams as a cub fan (and it seems like a really good card in its own right), but I'd be stupid to complete that program and not use it as completion towards The Babe. Of course it remains to be seen what the other program requirement is.

For Williams I just finished the 3 LF Sliver/Bronze programs and am now thwacking the ball out of Coors with Vet Ruth, Vet Williams and Luis Gonzalez. It's not going to take long to hit 10 HR's with those guys, and I'll probably catch the 2 H, 1 RBI for Vet Williams in the process. Will cross the bridge on those other two in-game requirements when I come to it.

The souvenir wall isn't such a big deal anymore since I just pulled a diamond that I can sell for probably 60-70k.

My plan I’m sitting on about 75K . I’m thinking about selling my Trout that would add up to about 400K ,and doing as many Immortals as I can when they become available I’m hoping 400K is enough to do at least 3

I'm trying to figure out if I have it in me to play DD this year I enjoy the mode but the grind can be tedious.

This is my issue also, VERY tedious. Especially if you don't want to feed the money grabbing loot box BS, or in this case card packs and just want to earn most of your stuff by playing. That being said, I'm still trying to do the George Brett capture mission. He is without a doubt, THE WORST PLAYER IN THE GAME, at least his rookie card you get for beating KC in capture. I struggles to get the ball out of the infield on perfect contact and timing hits.

Hitting a double with the Brett card was a nightmare, like you said, I was lucky to get the ball out of the infield with squared up power swing.

I have most of those crappy player programs done, except the reds ones because it cost like 5k for the hat and jersey and that pisses me off. I finished conquest. I have done a lot of the career arc missions except the exchanges because again, massive rip off.

Maybe they can save face and say the hats and jersey requirements are super high and will be lowered when they come out with the next round of missions....as if they didn't want people getting them too fast....

I'm pretty sure they don't want guys having all the best players within a couple weeks of release. I'm fine with it.

There are other ways to go about it, thats the issue. Make it a long grind of having to play games. Dont make me waste 50k stubs on essentially deleting hats. Its a slap in the face.

I just completed all my single game hitting missions in one inning and feel like a bloody king! Top of the 9th against the Yankees and I've given them a pounding, but just short of all my missions, when I bat around getting my 2nd hit and run with Brock Holt, my 4th hit with Walker, followed by my 3rd hit and RBI with Babe Ruth. Then just to top off a ridiculous set of luck, Drew Stubbs takes them deep off a right handed pitcher to complete hit mission as well!

That felt seriously good! If anyone wants to do the Babe pitcher hitting mission then I'd recommend just having a corner outfielder bat 3 and pinch hit with Babe. He's a liability in the field but that's pretty unimportant compared to getting the at bats with men in scoring position

Daniel Nava 3 hits/2 doubles is currently annoying the **** out of me.

Whoops, contact swing was only netting me singles so I tried power swinging and now im hitting homers. The fact that they still require doubles and not just extra base hits is so dumb.

So is this game truly not behind a paywall? They stated on the stream that you don't need to play online to complete programs like you had to do in 17. Is this 100% true? You don't need to pay an extra $60 a year or whatever(for PS+) and can get ALL the cards and complete ALL the programs without ever playing one game online?

I get more excited pulling an away reds shirt than i do a gold player because i know it's going to get me more stubs.

Wooooo finally finished conquest mode. Adrian Gonzalez hit a HR for me in the top of the 8th, was getting really nervous. I thought the HR would be the easy part lol.

Plan now is to after the Williams program. Unlocked his second tier card so now it’s just a little grind with it. Probably plug him into my lineup and play a little ranked for awhile. Getting tired of just mashing the CPU for the grind. Looking forward to some competition.
