Re: What are you working on thread
Just so that I don't really lose anything by having them. I got some Indians pitcher for less than 1000 so when I quick sell him I'll make like a 15 stub profit!Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Robbie Ray did really well for me, got a couple games of 20+ strikeouts with him when doing the silver mission. Still in the middle of the gold/diamond one. I'm just using pitchers who can also help with team epic innings. Started with a couple Dodgers, Stripling did well for me, now I have Cubs in there, first game I pitched with Lester, I had a perfect game.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
Ok...because there is obviously something mentally wrong with me that I continue to play this game and try to grind missions I know I will never have the time to complete. I’m constantly reminded of why I shouldn’t.
I reduced the number of mission players in my line up otherwise rookie plays like HOF. I still have Ripken in my line up because I still need 22 doubles after two months of trying and only hitting 3. I drive a liner to right center and it’s deep enough for me to take two but guess what?....I only get credit for a single. I hit the same exact hit with Didi in the same game and he was given credit for a double.
Next game I have CC pitching and his mission is an easy one. Yesterday I was disconnected during a game with him so I need to try again.....we’ll what do you know the CPU on rookie plays like HOF and 1 hitsme through 10 innings and I finally have to CC out as I threw 118 pitches and he was done. Once CC was no longer in line for the win I string 5 hitstogeyger and win. Every pitcher mission that requires a win takes me 3x to accomplish because of some supernatural events that prevent what should be easy.
I hate this game...I love this game...I hate this game....I need therapyComment

Re: What are you working on thread
Just my opinion, but I really feel like DD has become nothing more than a **** measuring contest to see who can race to be the first to discover stuff. It's like ok good for you. Your name is on a card for a few months and forgotten about when the next game comes out. I'm not even bothering trying to get an Immortal now. These exchanges and stat missions are a joke.

Re: What are you working on thread
Alex Reyes has 83 K/9 and isn't affected by IE right now (because he's shelved for the year). 74 OVR Bronze who can strike plenty of guys out if you don't need to worry about his walks.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
I just find it hypocritical that guys were complaining about these guys not being available...then now we're getting some complaints about the grinds being too long...and other complaints that people already have immortals and it's unfair...and now it'll be terrible that you face the same team with the same players.
SDS literally can't win
Also tired of hearing the "you have no life" if you complete an immortal. Complaints are all over the place and it's comical and pathetic at the same time.

Like Mike said, he swore it off like I did...and wtf was I doing this morning? Playing the Marlins on rookie with LS pitchers and center fielders. I really need something else to play lol. But this is the one "single player" experience I can tolerate since it doesn't require much thinking or some story to follow. I usually live for multi-player stuff
SDS won't win cause everyone will have a different kind of gripe, but I think we can all universally agree that this wasn't planned out very well. Regardless of what you think of the grind or this and that, "putting the finishing touches on the programs" the week before shows a little carelessness IMOComment

The Bambino...discovered.
I have jumped back into DD for a little bit...think I'll grind for Fergie Jenkins and Frank Thomas. I'm in no real hurry to finish them, but it'll be nice to switch up from Franchise from time to time to try to get cards of a couple players that are important to me.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: What are you working on thread
At the end of the day the game is fun and that’s why we go back to it and that’s a credit to SDS. I do think the mission structure is chaotic and some of the grinds a bit bloated. I feel like I will finally get the 25 doubles I need for Ripken around the time they release MLB the Show 2020....lol. I think the structure and the mass releases give it an overwhelming feeling and that’s why people complain. Hopefully SDS smooths it out for next year.
As far as people unlocking stuff already, hey if they have the time and/or money to do so all the power to them. I do feel like I will need a couple of immortals to keep up if I want to dive back into RS. Even though having a powerhouse team doesn’t grant wins I need all the help I can get. I’m close to unlocking immortal Piazza and Ryan just have to grind out the stats with the positions. I never expected to unlock more than 2 or 3 but I might be able to do 3-5 if I can stay at it.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
The only problem is that if you don’t grind for immortals and still want to play RS your screwed because by August almost everyone you play will have at least 3-4 immortals. Same thing happened in EA NHL HUT....by March everyone’s team was a 99 overall at every position.Comment

Re: What are you working on thread
I got the diamond Frank Thomas unlocked, now just need to do his missions to get Pujols. Also 226 strikeouts and 25 wins away from the diamond Greinke. Gonna take a break from grinding to do some of the new event, then start working on Snider.Comment
