Whoo! 2 more doubles with Piazza this morning. It's all coming together.

I almost have the Power Catchers hitting stats done before this. Very close to 88 Piazza.

Getting the doubles done with Piazza is so rewarding. I am working on the Power Hitting Catchers mission now after getting that done. I was going to go after Napoli from the Rangers team epic but after reading this chat I think I am going to stay away from the team epics this year. Just sucks since I could use some better power hitting All-Star outfielders for Larry Doby.

I unlocked Cueto from the Reds team epic. Man I love pitching with him. Still plugging away with Cleveland and TB's pitching requirements. About 5 games out of finishing CLE, and maybe 12/14 for TB.

I initially plugged in Rangers hitters into my lineup deciding to go after Napoli, then seen how much the bobbleheads are going for and cut half of them out and put in Diamondbacks looking after Finley. I figure that I'll get both hitting done, then after I finally get TB & CLE pitching done and start with TEX and ARZ, maybe the prices will come down. I'm not looking to drop 5,000 on bobbleheads for one team. I'll just wait til I can finish Carter's arc and that'll unlock both his and Piazza's diamond cards.

Struggling to find any motivation to play DD anymore tbh, pretty much just playing franchise now with the occasional game of conquest to knock out the daily missions. Also sporadically buying 20 RP to trade in for Wagner (now have 50% Wagner and Gossage), now moving onto getting 1B for Pujols. I'm a big Pujols fan but it's beyond annoying that you have to do all 3 trade ins to even get his first card, that's about 35k to even get started.

Seriously need them to drop some more, interesting missions as the mode is almost dead to me already and we're barely a month in. Team epics were a huge let down and generally their is just far too little in the way of actual missions that involve playing the game and succeeding. I liked the catcher/AS outfielders/power SS type missions where you had a selection of players to use and were entirely reliant on doing things well, there's not been enough of those sort. Too many exchanges, too many single game missions

Finished team collection missions and got Vlad. Had all my stubs tied up in playing the market. Now can grind other career arcs and immortal missions, specifically eyeing Pujols and Griffey Jr. No urge to go after Piazza once I got Napoli team epic (total beast).

Someone hit doubles with Mike Piazza for me please? This is impossible. Ive hit a whopping 2 so far, both on balls the outfielder dove and missed.

Since a bunch of you are doing the power hitting catchers, use Kurt Suzuki. He probably hit half of my homers when I finished that mission.

Finally finished the pitching stats for the Tigers team epic and got Diamond Victor Martinez!

I also just got the 50% on the Griffey immortal after cheesing my way to the stolen base requirement against the CPU. Once I get to 85% on the Griffey immortal, I have no immediate goals outside of finishing Conquest Extreme, which is going to take quite awhile. Waiting for the Albert Belle program to drop, along with any other Indians legends.

Are you using the reward cards like Adrian Gonzalez and Ian Desmond?

Yeah I'm using both. Gonzo just hit a HR for me in the 2nd inning but all Ian Desmond ever does is hit the ball into the gaps or pop out.

The pitchers missions were easy, but these patting ones are annoying.

Are you playing 9 inning games against the computer on rookie? Just want to make sure you’re not trying to do it in a 3 inning conquest game.

Finally got the double and walk with IV Griffey, tried getting it done on all star and higher and had no luck but got it done on rookie first time lol. Getting 4 hits in a game with Walker is giving me more troubles than the 2x 2B and 2 RBIs with rookie Chipper.

Have had 3 hits about 5-6 times but can never get the 4th?

Any tips?

Also any tips on stealing against the cpu? They seem to throw the ball perfectly to 2nd base everytime.

Lol yes I am, for some reason they just don't want to hit HRs. Which ballpark do you think is best to complete this task?

Bat leadoff with him, have a monster team to get him more at bats, quite if he doesn't get a hit in his first at bat. other than that, it's just luck. I got the fourth hit after hitting all the way around in the 9th inning and he hit a homer, having got his third hit leading off the inning, so just mad luck.

As for stealing against the computer, just kind of cheat and go back if you don't get a good jump or they pitch from the stretch. Then you're only danger is the computers ridiculously overpowered pickoffs (which will drive you mad). Stealing 3rd is also very easy if you are willing to go back on a bad jump. If all else fails, pinch run and double steal with Billy Hamilton as the lead runner when you get men on first and second, that's what I did with Griffey. Also, I assume most people know by now, but the computer always pitches from the windup if they have two balls or two strikes on the hitter, making stealing easy

I played on rookie, against Colorado, in Colorado, to complete all those tasks. Their pitching isn't great so that combined with the ball park seemed to make it easier. Good luck!

I'm about 60 short now which will cost maybe another 5k. Then I "just" need 55 gold jerseys at about 20k.

The wasted stubs and the time the process takes away from playing really are only part of it. Why do I have to buy HUNDREDS of nonsense jerseys, hats and players just to make this as cost-effective as possible? I'd rather pay a 10% mark-up on the actual price of the exchanges just to not have to put in all those orders and feed them into the exchange. Ridiculous.
