This Career Milestone Miniseason looks interesting. A chance to actually use S1 and S2 god-level cards together, plus some interesting series-specific builds being encouraged, along with some decent season XP rewards? Yes, please!

Got all the offline stuff done. I have another run through the Draft map to get the last 3 free cards, but not sure I'll need to do it. Unless they add some dope cards to the S2 collection, I don't really care about any free packs they might add so my attention will go back to Ranked now.

680 solo and not sure where for Co-Op. Not too far off from the Program's World Series pack regardless of whether I play enough to make World Series organically. I'm about to hit the final Boss pack from the path so will start getting some wheel spins for the first time all year.

Graduating to a true God Squad for the final push, too. Had a BLAST with the Tier 3 Braves build and the mix of non-Braves all season. But there's too many great cards now and definitely using them before they rotate out.

I'd be shocked if SDS pivoted and didn't reset with Season 3, but I think for the most part this is my final push. I guess I'll reserve judgment for what would end up being released in S3, but there's so many cool cards now and the idea of rebooting again just feels exhausting.

I feel like this concept could work if they somehow figured out how to use the All-Star break as the beginning of the next season or something. Whether it's how they use Wild Cards or whatever but I enjoyed rebuilding in Season 2. I feel like NOW dropping a ton of 99's and cool Captains could be a blast for the rest of the year and would keep me invested with cool Ranked rewards and missions.

I got unlocked mauer today and in doing so I got to chipper on the XP path and locked in about 220 cards so close to unlocking bob gibson. I may jumped into ranked on Monday morning.

I also took juan soto 99 from the free pack

I'm kind've between a god squad with no boost and bringing the switch hitter boost back. I built a switch hitter team that looked pretty good and I may buy the ASG santander and jram cards for the switch team. I don't hit well with carlos santana or brya

Finally got Chipper thanks to the Achievement Miniseason. I don’t really like pitching with Halladay, so once I get to Griffey I’ll feel pretty good about things.

I’ve noticed how lazy I’ve gotten about the weekly awards programs lately. I now typically just do all the moments, beat up the Rockies for one game at Costco HQ, then collect the 3 cheap pack cards to close out the program. Sitting around 500-700k stubs lately, so it’s a time saver more than anything. Waiting on the next additions to the S2 collection so I can lock in all these “no sell” cards I’ve already collected from the ASG program and these awards programs.

Finally, I’ve noticed how wide a gap there is between elite online players and the offline-only and less skilled online players w/r/t reactions to captains boosts, in terms of which stats are boosted. I loved the Devers and Buxton boosts, and was very unimpressed by Santana and Carroll, and now those new S2 captains that just boost contact or H/9 seem pointless to me. I guess this is because Power is the important stat to boost at lower difficulty levels, whereas Contact and Clutch are more vital at HoF And above. I guess it’s the same for K/9 vs H/9 and BB/9 for the pitchers? Took me a bit to pick up on this, but as an offline grinder/collector, I care about racking up XBH, HR, and Ks to complete program goals. The precision stats just aren’t what I’m needing to focus on.

Played 5 ranked games in maybe 45 minutes or less and got my record up to 25-0 with the switch hitter team. I'm good with that for a while.

No rush to do br or this event so I may finish off the helton program and maybe play 2v2? I don't think you get pxp on multi-player online right? So that seems kind've like a waste but I don't really wanna play stressful 1v1 ranked even tho I'm hitting pretty awesome today

I'm all caught up on the offline grind and got my 1st boss pack took Griffey and then i decided to see if the internet would let me play online and it did so i play 2 ranked games 1 with my Cards team and then 1 with my best team per say and i should have won both but i thought he disconnected but it gave the loss to me i was super pissed i was up 11-0 in the 2nd .

That sucks. Me, papadell, and his friend played 3v3 the other day. It was my first time playing co-op and it was a good experience. I noticed a bit more latency than normal, but no serious connection issues or freezes. Maybe we just got really lucky.

I played 5 or 6 and two froze, since nothing really counts and was just playing for fun it's cool... Other than that the other 4 games or so weren't bad

So far this year I haven't gotten a single freeze off in 1v1 ranked

Co-op still has a ton of issues. We'll go a handful of games before running into a freeze. I've also experienced more people deliberately trying to freeze the game in co-op than solo.

Looking like team affinity is a L for me. Maybe Bernie Williams would make my switch hitter team but the rest are players I won't use.

Good news is I have a switch hitting tram and God squad team, I've already got chipper, Gibson, and Jeter. Close to my 2nd xp boss and will have roughly a month to use those teams. I don't think I'm gonna bother with ta since I don't need/want frank Thomas... Maybe just focus on ranked solo and co-op exclusively for a while.

The same legends being the TA reveals isn't surprising but disappointing for sure. With 30 days to go, there's still plenty of cool stuff they can release outside of TA tho

They got to figure out these same old same cards man, no matter if it's a "new" series etc. like this action figure one.

This is an ultimate team mode, I get it, but when everyone has the same cards and same lineups, it's no longer ultimate team, it's the same team. Boring!

Hopefully they get away from this season 3 model of starting over and let people use s1 and s2 cards from the jump for theme teams or whatever. If not, I guess see ya when s3 is over.
