**** malignant, i just read all of that and I got pumped for you! I just got a PS3, I think I will pick this game up as atleast a rental to get into the grove of the Show. But I would've taken a 3-4 year deal from the Cubs, proven myself and then get a bigger contract. 7 years is a long time, a player could get an career ending injury. Need financial assurance for the family!

Malignant, I'm with you on RTTS. It's all I've played on 07 (just got a PS3 over xmas). I've got a pitcher and gone through my first season. Doing a starting pitcher, and I'm a little up and down. Ended up going 14-7 in AA, pretty good, with a 4ish ERA. I just pitched 6 innings of shutout ball in AA to open my 2nd season, and I'm hoping to get moved to AAA this year (just signed a big deal to stay on with the Tigers, 8 years 800,000...though i I get to the majors I expect to renegotiate)

Yep, 7 years is a long time.

I can't believe I forgot to talk about the trade deadline day.

Before the end of July I checked my team's status and the Cubs were given the title 'Playoff push'. Now obviously this means they were actively looking for help down the stretch and weren't afraid to offload a prospect or two.

The trade rumours section said they were after Manny Ramirez. So I went to see who was on our trading block and sure enough my name was mentioned amongst a few other young players. So for a few minutes I thought I was going to get traded for Manny.

Didn't happen though.

"Yay for this thread Yeah, I created a 20 yr. old starting pitcher, for the Royals organization(trying to get the best shot into the mlb rotation), playing on HOF level.(With Highheat Op Sport's sliders). Got ROCKED in my first outing, 4 walks, no strikeouts, gave up like 5 runs. By my third game, I finally got my first strikeout(What an amazing feeling that was) and actually got a win. I just started this... so I am only 1-1 with like a 4.95 ERA but it felt great when my manager said "Whatever you do, do not let this runner score from 3rd" and I induce a high popup to the catcher to end the inning. Great game.
