Why are you throwing that pitch down the mddle? Can you cite an actual situation? I'm sure you went wrong somewhere.

hmm i guess thats not the best example, but now that i think of it, alot of the frustration has to do with my personal confidence while playing this game. i always get into that "here we go again mode" when the cpu starts coming back and i lose my focus. so maybe alot of what is happening is becuz of that. it is really easy to lose composure in this game, so maybe i just need to take things really slowly in those situations, as you have said. im sure there is a way for me to get thru the comeback rallies and whatnot, but i just need to find out what works for me.

Great. Glad I could help . Also..remember this is a very tough game, and that it is only a game. A loss is nothing to get too riled up over.

true true. sometimes i let it get to me too much. when it really comes down to it, if your not enjoying the game then there's no point in playing it. i for one am going to try to see what works for me, rather than stop playing the game altogether. i know thats not gonna solve anything. so, just wondering, how did you come up with all that advice and stuff? just thru personal experience in this game?

Honestly..just baseball knowledge. That is why this game is so great: it is so realistic, that real life knowledge translates into game knowledge.

yeah that makes sense. i think sometimes this game is so realstic that people mistake it for "problems" with the game or whatever, when in reality, it actually plays exactly how it should.

We got some good posts here, and im glad its not just another "this game is fixed" or that same old **** we hear. Everyone has it 100% right on this game being all about "fundamentals" and understanding how you are supposed to approach each situation.

Also, we really need to be thankful for what we have with The Show, and thank the good Lord above we're not stuck with 2k9!!!

I thought this stuff was bad in the regular season, oh man, wait till the playoffs...

Game 1, tied after 8. Phils score 1 in the top of the 9th, I score 2 in the bottom of the 9th.

Game 2, I lead by 2 going into the top of the 9th. They scored 5. 2 errors on routine groundballs.

Game 4, I lead 5-0. End up losing 6-5 on a walkoff in the bottom of the 9th.

Game 5, I score a run, they score next AB. I score again after they tie, they tie it again next AB. They go up 3-2, then make 2 errors to give me 2 unearned runs to take the lead. With a 4-3 lead, they reach on an error, they go to 2nd on a passed ball even though the pitch was practically right down the middle, then they score from 2nd when my gold glove 2B chucks the ball into the crowd even though he had all day to throw it. I guess I should start running the ball over to 1st myself. Bottom of the 9th, I trail by a run. First batter homers to tie, next batter, I win on a walkoff to take the series 3-2...and I wasn't the least bit excited about it, because it was obvious it was coming.

Can't wait to see what the NLCS brings.

Game 2: Who was pitching when this happened? Who made the errors.

Game 4: Tell me who gave up those runs. Because I KNOW you didnt leave a pitcher in who gave up 6 runs

Game 5:Who made the errors? Who is your gold glove 2b? Was he on the run? And you are a little confident about knowing that homer was coming no?

Of course you guys know this thread will be closed just like all of the comeback threads eventually get closed here. Nevermind the fact that while this game is the best baseball game ever, these 2 out rallies late in games. The you score they score very next inning has ruined this game. But those of us that see it, we get told the same thing by the same few. "Well you don't know how to pitch." "You have to concentrate more." And all of the other suggestions that are wheeled out like you don't know these things. IMO. While this game is good in alot of areas. The gameplay is disappointing, to me it killed the game for me. Maybe next year this will be fixed. We can only hope.

To me, this is just laughable. What did you want for gameplay? If this upsets you, then I don't know what will fly with you.
