But I clearly said that I didn't feel that "comeback code" is what was happening. I don't begin to even hint that I have any clue as to how AI actually works (or doesn't). I do however certainly know the difference between what is realistic and what is not. Especially when it comes to baseball. I was just using Rivera as an example of the extreme cases of this phenomena. I have seen this time & time again with many pitchers on many different teams. I too have been able to successively close lots of games with Rivera, as I said it is not an all the time occurrence, just an all too frequent one. I don't know how to explain it other than it's pretty blatantly obvious when it starts happening. Yes I see things that seem unnatural at times, impossible pitches being hit for HRs being one of them. I certainly am not going to try to debate this with you, obviously you program the game and know it better than anybody. I've been playing it for many years and feel confident that I am quite knowledgeable of it from that perspective. Many things have changed with the way this game plays this year. It certainly seems much tougher overall at every difficulty level, would you agree with that?
Anyway, I don't want to come off as argumentative, as I said I've been a huge fan of this game for a long time and the bottom line is that regardless of whether this is an actual problem or not, there is still no other baseball game that comes close to comparing. I know that you guys always say that although you strive to make the best game on the market, no game is perfect. It might sound odd, but I actually thought that my input could somehow be of help, since others are having a similar experience (perhaps we could help each other). Thank you very much for taking the time to read & respond to my posts.
