Ah, memories. I still have a binder from a custom league I set up playing R.B.I. Baseball in the late 80s. I kept track of wins and loses, pitcher stats, HRs and RBI. The thought of going back in time and giving a copy of The Show to that 12-year-old version of me blows my mind.

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I played a couple games today and a couple of odd occurrences happened that I wonder if these have been addressed.
No RBI on a walk-off hit.
Playing today with the Aeros and Carlos Santana hits a liner up the middle which the ball bounces what looks like off of the pitchers leg back to the catcher and throws me out by a mile. After reviewing the replay the ball morphs through the pitchers leg and off of the rubber and catapults back to the catcher.
This happened to me twice both in RBI situations! A million games played and I have never seen this happen until today, twice!
Anyone, anyone?
I know the second one is fixed and I think the first one was addressed as well. Definitely know on the second one.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
It is not money every time. It depends on the runner at first base and what his attributes are. The system still determines the outcome like other years. The camera just switches very late giving you the illusion that he is going to throw a pitch and not to first base.
I wanted to see the deceptive move tied to the pitching meter where the perfect release point would yield the best result and anything above it or below it would be an off throw. Maybe that is something that could get worked in next year.
ksig;
I've never had an RBI not count in '09.

Are errors and ER fixed?
I noticed last year in RTTS that the computer would often mess up on errors (like not counting some errors are errors), or if it would, it would still count as an earned run against my pitcher.
Example: 2 outs in the inning. Ground ball to 3rd, he makes an error on the play. Error is still counted, but if the run then scores on a HR, that runner counts as an earned run against my pitcher. This was not always the case, but it was enough times for me to notice and get really irritating.
There were also plays in the OF where the OF would run down a ball, it would go off his mitt, and it would not be ruled an error.
Did anyone else notice this error logic problem? I hope it is fixed for '10.Comment

Isn't there a 3rd move which is a normal pick off move? And if so, my next question is can you ever pick somene off not using the deceptive move? I know not the easy move, but the normal one?#WeAreUKComment

Your best chances for a pickoff are the quick and deceptive.Last edited by nemesis04; 01-28-2010, 12:03 AM.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Actually its the quick move that you seem to throw away more not deceptive.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Gee I hope so, Love this game, but I'm tired of pitching with -10 on control and consistency, classic pitching and still getting 1-ish walks per game.
It takes away from the fun in my franchise cause I often am "aware" of the walks issue instead of getting into the drama of the game.
I have always thought that thrwoing strikes was too easy. More often than not, when missing the line on the meter it resulted in a more hittable pitch not nessasarily a ball off the plate. I would like to see the above mentioned "erratic" pitchers miss off of the plate more and not so much catching more of the plate for strikes.PSN: bronk14Comment

For the CD guys,
Am I reading right that if your playing in RTP mode that you will still see some of the cool cutscenes?
Don't get me wrong I'm all for a blend of both.... I just wish someone would confirm what game situations will & won't utilize RTP so we don't have to keep speculating on how it will work
I'll try again.....Can someone that attended CD please confirm if RTP will still use cut scenes during certain game situations ????Last edited by DodgerFanatic2K3; 01-28-2010, 12:38 AM.Comment

There is so many situations in this game, and so many cut-scenes, plus new ones added. I would think it is too much to list and remember in a few day span.
This is just something we are going to have to be patient on, and experience for ourselves.
IMO, a combination of BOTH is the best thing. Since there are without a doubt, some things a cut scene will always do better, than real time, due to memory limitations. The best of both worlds is optimal IMO.Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 01-28-2010, 12:35 AM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment
