Look out for the waaaah-mbulance! If I could get what I wanted I'd have fresh commentary for every single game I played but instead of making a statement that comes off a bit arrogant, most just enjoy what they're given/pay for. But it's cool. Life goes on.

You can always play Franchise so you can have access to all 90 players, just have the CPU handle all the finances you don't want to be hassled with.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Considering you know what you're getting. Rather than have this feeling that you deserve something because it's a video game instead of real life and these things are apparently simple to implement according to you. Good call.Comment

lol, are you being serious? of course wanting there to be an option to choose the number of games you play per season is horrible and too much ask for? i shouldnt be able to customise a video game... how dare i even think it.

As for you're question the stuff not included in season mode would be lack of the marketing, promotions, finances, and training. Not sure if there's more or if all those were already mentioned but that's all I've noticed.
But here's a link for a thread regarding it either way:

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I for the longest time I have had the same horrible dilemma you speak of. I have a demanding career, a family and responsabilites around the house. My playing time is valuable, and I wanted to play all my games as well because I wanted it to be "me" and my my stats affecting the game. To make it worse I wanted to play some of my minor league games. Sounds like this years version will also benefit from you playing your minor league games as the potential system for players has been worked on and you can actually affect how well your players develop. All that said, I had a problem of never finishing a season and getting to enjoy the off-season process. So I utilize the mode, I forget what its called, where it allows you to quick sim pitch by pitch and jump in at any time. I play game one and three of a series, unless it is a division game and then quick sim the others. I play each Sunday minor league game. This has helped me move along through a season quite well. Sometimes with a non-division team I may quick sim pitch by pitch two out of three games. The quick sim feature allows you to still make managerial moves and closely monitor the progression of a game and it's players during that game. I forget the name of the mode, maybe someone can name it for you. Hope this helps. I suggest you get the show. I am a recovering 2k player who transitioned over to The Show several years ago.Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Thanks for answering my questions, and all the advice everyone. I will be getting The Show. With season mode it appears the only thing you dont have is a minor league system, you still get multiple seasons and the ability to choose the number of games. With that knowledge there isnt a second thought to go through my head. Now there's just waiting for it to come out

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I have read thru 281 pages of this thread, and all of the other MLB the show threads.Lots of great information.I never like to post as you can tell(member for a long time),but I thought I should say,I buy this game every year and it keeps getting better and better.I just reserved a copy on Amazon and can't wait for the game.I just want to thank SCEA sports for listening to the fans and putting in upgrades what the players want to the game every year when possible.Last edited by Babyface; 02-11-2010, 02:15 AM.Comment
