Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I have read thru 281 pages of this thread, and all of the other MLB the show threads.Lots of great information.I never like to post as you can tell(member for a long time),but I thought I should say,I buy this game every year and it keeps getting better and better.I just reserved a copy on Amazon and can't wait for the game.I just want to thank SCEA sports for listening to the fans and putting in upgrades what the players want to the game every year when possible.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Did they fix Dave constantly saying a win would bring the team to 2 games over .500?Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Does this have anything to do with simming some of the games, so that the game only recognizes those games that are played by the user?
This has stumped me for quite sometime, and I would be curious as to what triggering mechanism within the commentary makes him say this.

Making sure to reiterate, this is not a major obstacle in my roadway to fun, just curious as to whether or not it has something to do with my 5-man simming rotation, and my actual W/L record as my gamer profile, not the team...

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
I would say that it has nothing to do with simming games. I have played every game in mine and I'm currently at 38-29 and still get it.
DING DING DING..... My RedSox squad is 34-19 and we are still looking to get back to .500 with a win...

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
did you guys feel that in 09, if playing the against the AI, did it feel like regardless of which pitcher (starter or reliever) within a team you faced, or pitchers from team to the next team, they all pitched to you the same? i know in a way you're playing the 'computer opponent' so to speak, but was hoping each team would have their own personality, and each pitcher would. I could be wrong, but i didnt totally feel like the AI controlled pitcher would have an 'out pitch' like its real life counterpart would deliver. Wondering if 2010 had anything distinct and noticeable in these regards?Comment

Re: Community Day Questions, Answers, and Impressions
Somebody mentioned playing every 6th game in a season, which sounds like the solution for me. That way, you have to play with all of your starters, but you can still get through a season. 162 / 6... 27 games. So I'll probably use the manager mode for all games, then play the 6th and keep myself to that. I also like it because it helps test my managerial/front office skills... Because I only have the opportunity to influence the on-field performance of my team 1/6 games... so if I absolutely stink, I can still have a good record with good moves, and If I'm awesome at the game, I'll still have to build a quality team regardless.
Looking forward to the SHow. Altho I also just got the Heavy Rain demo, and that game will totally tide me over for that week or two between releases. Very impressed with Heavy Rain.Comment
