I'm in my second year with a Switch hitting CF, and made the home run derby. I used the seroids to get me to a 90 in power on both sides and a 99 contact on both sides. Before competing in the HR Derby, I had hit 34 HR. I'm now nearly to the playoffs, and since the derby I've hit 14. WTF? What am I doing wrong? Is the HR Derby Curse in the game? for like the first 20 games after the Derby I was going 1-3 and 0-4 every other game. Now my long balls are always dieing at the track? Am I the only one that is having this happen? I'll do two more, maybe, and if it happens again, I'll never do another Home Run Derby again.

not sure if this belongs here.... but two minutes ago, in my very first RTTS AB with MLB11, I hit a HR on the very first pitch I saw. It was quite awesome IMHO.

Backstory- I devoted SO much time to RTTS in MLB 09 and 10, that I felt I didn't give my Franchise(s) enough attention. So literally I waited until today to start a career, as I have been playing nothing but franchise since the day the game came out.

Anyhow, I thought it was kinda cool to hit a HR on the very first pitch I saw.

man am i pissed. a couple days ago i was playing on my shelby miller RTTS, he is still in AA. i had a perfect game going with him through 9 1/3 until they got a hit. of course they pulled me after giving up a hit.

so tonight i'm pitching and it's the first game of the AA playoffs. i carry a no-hitter to the 9th but we're tied at 0. so i get through the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th inning with a no hitter but still tied. so finally in the 14th inning we're up 1-0. i get the first guy out then give up a hit. they take me out and we lose the game 2-1.

so pissed. i had 15 k's as well. he had over 150 pitches.

So I have been using zone hitting for most of my The Show 11 career. I finally decided to give analog another try and just keep practicing it. I went to good at-bat and practiced for quite a while until I was finally able to get like 4-5/9 good at bats. It actually felt much smoother than zone once I got all the timing down.

Started up a new RTTS using analog and now I am absolutely HOOKED with this hitting method. Remade Jim Thome so a big power 1B. First few games I was slapping singles up the middle and through the gaps every other at bat, occasional RBI. Fourth game I struck out in my first at bat. Then I hit a deeeeep bomb to center in my second at bat for 3 RBI. I jumped off my couch the instant it was gone. Smashing one with analog hitting just feels so much more gratifying than zone ever was.

Fell in love with this game all over again.

Thome hit another HR in his next at-bat on the first pitch. Went a bit silent for a game or two but I just hit my third and it keeps getting better. I might actually have to raise the hitting difficulty! What the...

                  1) The Rockies are going to the playoffs! And after finishing with a .723 OPS on the season, catcher Miguel Montero will continue to bat 3rd for us in the playoffs...insane. That finished for 2nd worst of ALL position players on the team this year (only back-up catcher Josh Bard is worse).

                  2) I won MVP, triple crown, gold glove. Had a 51-Doubles/17-Triples/50-SB/70-HR season.

                  2) Splashdown!

Omg!!! I just scored a inside the park HR (not really) from a lead off bunt with my CF (a fast lead off man)

I laid down a surprise bunt to the 3rd baseman, the catcher was the only guy in range to get to the ball and I made it safe do to a throwing error; ball went to RF so I made my way on to 2nd then eventually to 3rd but the right fielder threw the ball way off base to home so I eventually scored...2 errors on one play :-)

What a way to make a MLB debut!!!

Just finished my 3rd season, which was my first full one in the Majors. I'm a 6'5 slugger, who has some troubles in the field, and battles a strikeout problem. I was traded early in the season from the New York Mets to the Baltimore Orioles. Boy was it a roller coaster.

                        Hi all,

I recently started a RTTS starting pitcher after stints with a closing pitcher and a first baseman, this is my first starter I have created.

I joined the Giants organisation and have been playing for their AA affiliates Richmond.

Anyhow I am playing with Psycho's perfect slider set and am playing on veteran hitting and pitching difficulty with meter pitching.

I have been absolutely crushing the opposition up to this point. Out of 4 starts for Richmond I am 4-0 and have somehow managed to throw 2 shutouts, my second one coming late last night and was celebrated with a monster fist pump and a lap of honour around the room.

My question is have other people blitzed AA as a starter so early in their careers as well?

I am honestly wondering if I should crank up the difficulty or something. My starter is not unhittable or unbreakable by any stretch of the imagination - just 2 games back I gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in the first innings. It is just that I don't have a point of reference to know if this is normal. When my CP got to AAA he got slapped around hard so I don't want to up the difficulty level now and have to adjust back down when I get to AAA.

Appreciate any thoughts you may have on the subject.

i've always found AA is easy especially as a SP because honestly most of the people in AA deserve to be there. most of those players will retire very early due to ability so they can't hit. once you get to AAA is when it gets to be more difficult.

just finished my third season on my Shelby Miller RTTS, my first complete one in the majors. in his first year he was traded from the cardinals to the A's, spent his whole first year in AA, got called up to AAA his next year and spent a bunch of time there till i got traded to the mets. Got called up to the majors when the rosters expanded, then signed a 5yr contract worth $40m.

first full season in the majors he had 12 wins with over 200 k's and an ERA under 3. got snubbed as rookie of the year just because the guy had one more win than my guy. Went on to game 7 of the world series where i started, went 8 innings with 11 k's and 2 ER to win it all.

now i start his quest for a cy young/mvp award

Finished my first season in AA leading the league in Batting Average (.372), Hits (I don't remember..) Home Runs (19), RBI (85), and OBP and OPS (Don't remember). hoping to be called up to the Majors, the Royals look like they need a good power hitting crew that will be bolstered by my player!

So many times I've had perfect timing but have just missed on contact, anyone have any good sliders to help with this? My plate vision is currently 60, contact is around 60 vs lefties and righties.
