There aren't any sliders to make this game not play like baseball. Don't really know what you thought this was.

Alright been in AAA for 2 years
the first year i could understand staying down i struggled quite a bit
but this year me staying down here is ridiculous
      I'm 17-1(second closest is 11) with a .90(second closest is 2.04) ERA 0.88 Whip 137 SO (21 more than anyone) 188.1 IP, 8CG, 6 Shutouts
my slider, curve, and fastball are basically all maxed out my stamina is an 89 I basically go all games i pitch now I've passed my last 3 or 4 advancement goals easily yet keep getting the "oh well your skills are ready but we ant you to stay down in AAA" our starting pitchers in Detroit minus Verlander are 13-22 and im better than them so im not understanding what else i need to do

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I am entering my second year in the minors as a 2B for the Minnesota Twins. At the end of last year I was promoted to AAA. After my first year in the minors, I re-signed for 1yr/$2,000,000.

We are about 65 games into the season and I have a .420 BA and 32 HR in the clean-up spot (I played about 55 games). I lead the minors in triples, HR, RBI and every major offensive category. I have met my advancement goal the past 8 times and keep getting the same "good job, but the roster is full" message. There once were two 2B at the MLB level, now it shows there is only 1 - yet still no call-up. I got my durability (DUR) up to 65 because I thought that perhaps it was keeping me from being called up. No luck. Right now I am just frustrated. I can hardly stand playing the game anymore. Every time I hit a HR the announcers say I have nothing left to prove in the minors. I know I must be the only person in the minors making $2,000,000 w/ no MLB experience.

        FRUSTRATION.

ADD: The 2B ahead of me at the MLB level is batting like .230...which just makes me even more angry.

I joined the Giants organisation and have been playing for their AA affiliates Richmond.

Anyhow I am playing with Psycho's perfect slider set and am playing on veteran hitting and pitching difficulty with meter pitching.

I have been absolutely crushing the opposition up to this point. Out of 4 starts for Richmond I am 4-0 and have somehow managed to throw 2 shutouts, my second one coming late last night and was celebrated with a monster fist pump and a lap of honour around the room.

My question is have other people blitzed AA as a starter so early in their careers as well?

I am honestly wondering if I should crank up the difficulty or something. My starter is not unhittable or unbreakable by any stretch of the imagination - just 2 games back I gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in the first innings. It is just that I don't have a point of reference to know if this is normal. When my CP got to AAA he got slapped around hard so I don't want to up the difficulty level now and have to adjust back down when I get to AAA.

Appreciate any thoughts you may have on the subject.
As a SP with the Rangers, I was called up to AAA halfway through my first year, was put in the pen at the start of my 2nd year, and was moved to the rotation a month later as a 19 year old. Now I'm thier ace!

I just finished up the 2014 season as a starting pitcher for the Red Sox. While I had a good season I was blown away by how good of a season Miguel Cabrera had for the Tigers.

            642 AB, 232 H, .361 AVG, 66 HR, 167 RBI, 132 R, .403 OBP, .738 SLG%, 1.141 OPS

            That's insane!!

Why is it because I'm a right fielder, half of my opportunities in the field are no doubter home runs? Even guys with 3 home runs on the season in september crush home runs left and right. I can't count how many times the "Try to keep it fair" animation plays.

I don't know anything about making games, but this seems like bad programming to me.

Yeah, he leads the league in everything in my CF RttS. If it wasn't for me winning the batting title 3 years in a row in the AL he would have won the triple crown those years, too. I'm now in Colorado for my second year and he's going to win his 4th triple crown in 2016, having won it in 2011 and 2012 and 2015 previously. Even with my stats all 99 in Colorado I can barely keep up with him in AVG, hits, runs, RBI, home runs, doubles, OBP, OPS, etc. It's insane.

Can somebody tell me what this is? I walk, the guy on 2B runs back to 2B, and then for some reason takes off and then goes back to 2B again, and then gets picked off to end the inning.

I love the AI's trading logic.

I created a power hitting 2B aming to model him after Pedroia, working on power and contact so far, he's slow, but he can hit. I'm angling to get him into the DH spot so I can work on less attributes.

Giants pick me in the draft, I'm fine with that, so I pretty much settle into AA ball with Richmond after 2-3 weeks, and about the 4th month of the year I get called up to the Grizzlies. I asked for a trade down in AA when I couldn't hit for anything (.134 AVG), yet when I got called up I was batting .398.

I do one game for Fresno. I get traded. To the Marlins, of all people. First AAA game for Florida, I go 0-4, second one I go 5-6, third one 3-4, I pass my goals. I get traded again. To the Mets. I can see why I got traded (along with a SP) to the Marlins. But to the Mets? Are they that short at second that they want me, a .400 hitter with good power but awful contact, to play for them?

Am I alone in figuring my team choice has rapidly plunged here?

Hi all, i'm fairly new to baseball gaming, i'm playing rtts and I created a third baseman power hitter. I'm currently starting the 2013 season as the Angels 3rd baseman after leading AA in Hr's in 2011, and AAA in Hr's in 2012. My guy has 99 power against both L and R handers and decent (for me) contact in the 60's. The problem is I am a terrible terrible fielder (having put all my points towards power) so my question is is it possible for the manager to play you at DH? that would be perfect for me if they did.

Question: When creating batters, what do you guys prefer to build around, speed/contact or strength/power? Obviously depending on the position it will be different, but just in general, or, lets say, a position where it's more even to start out (say second base, where you could really lean either way and still create a beast). Which build do you find easier to play with in the earlier parts of the game ie, the first few months of the first season?

Same thing when creating Starting Pitchers: Do you prefer to build around power or control?

I picked up my RTTS after a long hiatus last night. My manager has real outlandish goals for me-33 RBI two times in a row. I'm not Hack Wilson, after all. I did get two intentional walks in a row-hadn't seen that before. I'm now in July 2017, and drag bunting is my last rating I need to get to 99.

its more fun to hit homeruns that it is to hit singles and i find it easier to increase pitching velocity than walks/9 and control

It also seems easier to get awarded points for big hits, like home runs. So you can build up your player faster by adding power.
