I think i am done with RTTS, my dude hit .332/12/63 in his first year in AA. Next year in AA i did .302/17/72. Then i got my contract to AAA and i had a decent line, .298/11/52 off the bench. Now in the off season i get offered a AA contract. I am done, wanted to be in MLB this coming up season now that is not likely at all.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Hey do any of you guys notice that when you get injured for a long time you automatically come back as the bench? I just got traded from the Astros to the Yanks (hooray world series chance this year!!) and I played the first 6 games and broke my arm on a steal attempt. Now Im maxed out in power and contact and 90s in everything else so i had like 5 HR in 6 games( hot start I know.) I come back and am being spot started and eventually pass the back up in HR in June (he's hitting .347 but no power) and after one of my best games ever where I have a 4-4 2B 2HR 9RBIs finally they are like Your the starter. Could be you just hitting over your attributes. Crank them up as much as you can while getting free hits down there, and they'll bump you up when your OVR is passing people ahead of you.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I love RTTS, this is actually my first time playing it on MLB The Show 11. I decided to be starting pitcher (myself of course) and I started with the Yankees Double-A team. I was traded to the Padres and extremely pissed but it was a lucky deal for me. That year I won the Minor League WS, was the MVP and all that and invited to spring training (2012). I was promoted to the MLB team as a bullpen guy and eventually given my shot to start. Pitched a shut out (WOOOO!) and was given a spot as the 5th starter. By the end of the year I was the ace of the staff and won the World Series (crazy right) with the Padres. Eventually the Padres went back to sucking and giving me 0 run support. I requested to be traded for two seasons until I was traded to the Red Sox (unbelievable - I'm a Yankees fan damnit).
I stayed with Boston for 5 seasons, winning 3 additional World Series rings, 4 Cy Youngs and 6 All Star Appearances (1 with Padres). Finally a free agent with over 6 years of MLB time under my belt I was offered a 100 mil contract for 5 years with the Phillies. The Red Sox only offered me a 2-year extension, but I like hitting as a pitcher. So the year is now 2018) in my first season with the Phillies and I have a 0.92 ERA through 4 games. Looking to win my first NL Cy Young! The game is awesome
But a question I have is about the players. Most of the players I know have retired, what does the game do for players when it's gone beyond the minors? Does it just create fake players?Last edited by jljr222; 08-11-2011, 02:38 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Somebody PLEASE explain to me, why the league leader in hitting (myself) a shoe in for MVP, is being benched almost every other game?
I'm playing for the Orioles, I've been carrying this team all season, our pitching other than Brian Matusz is garbage. We give up the most homers in all of baseball (probably half of my opportunities in right field are no doubter homers...great programming). But because of myself and a couple of other decent hitters in the lineup, we are in a dog fight with the Yankees for the wild card, here in September.
The Sox are crushing every team they face, 20 game lead in the AL east, above the Yankees, and Orioles, the top two teams in the wild card race. We just had a 4 game series with them (huge series seeing as if we make the playoffs, they would be our opponent in the ALDS) My brilliant manager decides.."Lets rest our top player, the guy with 52 Bombs, 150 RBI's, for two of those four games!" And we get swept!! So ridiculously stupid. I remember this happening to me in last years game, my manager would sit me during the playoffs. Horrible programming..this game mode is broken in so many ways it's pathetic.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I seared this forum and couldn't find the answer, so I was wondering when you create a player in RTTS and when you are looking at the slots for facial hair, if you do a different one in each spot do you get different facial hair throughout the season?.. oh well, maybe next year..
