Guys, I'm still playing MLB 10, but was hoping someone here could help me out with a question I have. I play as a pitcher in RTTS and whenever the catcher calls for a pitch I don't want to throw, I can't seem to figure out a way to wave him off and get him to give me another location/pitch to throw. The way I've been doing it all along is to just simply choose another pitch and ignore him, or choose his pitch then hit L1 which causes the pitcher to step off. I didn't see anything in the guide as far as a button to push to get the catcher to change his own call.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
In my first year of RTTS, my Sea Dogs (Red Sox) third baseman was traded in the following deal:
Mets receive: RTTS third baseman, Anthony Ranaudo, and Jose Iglesias (all A potential players)
Red Sox receive: Jose ReyesComment

Mediocre players batting 3rd
It seems like in every rtts i create some no name player is batting third instead of a power hitter. For example, ryan doumit is batting third in my red sox rtts in front of myself and adrian gonzalez, david ortiz, etc. Its usually a catcher with ratings nowhere near what a third place hitter should have. I've seen this with other rtts players i have created as well. Can anyone explain why this is? Is it a glitch inside rtts?Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Anyone here have a RTTS that's in their late 30's, maybe even 40s? If so what are your career stats like? I have a 19 year old pitcher for the Rangers. Got called up in August of his first year. I'm in 2012 now. 11-3 sub. 2.50 era. Lots of fun.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
i remember hitting with him once and i hit a home run. i heard the announcer say "welcome to the 400 club"
i made him again on 11, except he's a closer. it's 2023 he just turned 30, he broke the season saves record with 64 and he currently has a saves streak of 90. i didn't buy any skill points i've played at least 80% of his games.
i use these pitches
4sfb
rfb - both of those are maxed out on velocity, rfb has max break
slider - max break high 80s
circle change max break
screwball max break low 80s
his era is under 1. playing on all starCardinals
Blues
Rams

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just bought my first Baseball game last night
started up RTTS and couldn't put it down,
I created a RF got drafted by Mets played through the first 3 months with my AA team. I'm struggling quite a bit only hitting .370 1HR 26RBI struck out 13times at 152 at bats so need to get that down but I'm loving this game so farComment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Well, that end of the season / offseason was about as dull as it possibly could have been.
In 2019, the Mets won 112 games, good for the best record in MLB. So I'm thinking we're preparing for a good World Series run. However, after winning game 1 of the NLDS vs. the Cardinals rather handily, we went on to lose the series in 5 games.
So, I get to the offseason, where I'm FINALLY eligible to become a free agent. I was sure to create a separate save file, just in case something weird would happen. Glad I did.
- First time through, the Mets offered arbitration, but I wanted to test the market. Well, the offseason goes by... NO CONTRACT OFFERS. Seems like I remember reading about this "glitch" of sorts in RTTS, but still. To have a 28 year old, all 99's guy, just sitting there in free agency, and NOBODY offers a contract. That's just crazy.
- So I reload. Second time through, the Mets offered a 7 year deal for 118 mil. I up it to 125 mil, and they accept. So, I figured "Eh, we won 112 last year, so should be a good team. And if I want to leave, I'll just request a trade". Of the two options, it seemed the most realistic.
Anyway... very disappointing for sure. Very anti-climactic to play through that many seasons to finally be eligible for free agency, field several offers, etc., and just have no offers at all was just disappointing.
Oh well... METS IN 2020!Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I started my career as a 20 year old SS who got drafted by the Reds. I get the call in early 2012 to the show after having a pretty solid first season in the minors. Well, for some reason they never played me AT ALL. I only got two starts and finished the season with less than 20 AB. Im gonna start over now.Comment

It is very difficult to make the majors if you sim the majority of your games because you don't get as many points that way. I play every game until most of my attributes are pretty high or maxed out.Comment
