These AAA batters are definitley more patient than the AA guys. Last game, I walked 5 batters in 6 innings, one of them three times! Overall, at the AAA level, I've walked 16 batters in 29.1 innings. That is insane. But at the same time, they will still swing at pitches out of the zone as I have still managed to rack up 26 Ks in that time as well. I really need to work on my control.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Absolutely loving RTTS right now! Here is where I am at...
I was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks as a power hitting left fielder (chose all the way power, all the way strength, and middle for arm/glove).
So i was on the bench with the Mobile BayBears (AA) for a few weeks, before they gave me the starting job due to passing my advancement goals.
I was then traded to the Washington Nationals organization (Harrisburg Senators AA) in mid May. I hit .298 with around 15 doubles, 1 triple, and 4 HR combined between the two teams before i was called up to the Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) the last week of May due to their centerfielder tearing his ACL. They moved me around in the outfield for a week or two before giving me the permanent starting job in left field. i hit very well in AAA at around a .320 clip with 7 HRs, 20 doubles, and a triple. I also had about 30 rbi or so.
Then, surprisingly, the Nationals came calling on July 16th! I thought it was due to an injury, but i read the note from my manager and he said they purchased my contract and added me to the 40 man roster! So they called me up to sit on the bench and now i am making $472,000 for the year.
I didn't get into a ballgame until early August where i was a defensive replacement in center field in the 9th at the Cubs. That ended quickly, only got to field once, no at-bats. Then, finally i get a start on August 19th, my birthday no lessI had to face Cole Hamels and the Phillies, it was tough.. went 0-4.
Then, the next day, i get another start. And this time I made the most of it.
1st AB = RBI single
2nd AB = Solo HR
3rd AB = 3 Run HR
4th AB = Single
I was so pumped! So that is where I am at now. A couple of notes about the season:
Division Leaders: Boston, Detriot, Texas, WC Oakland, Braves, Cardinals, DBacks, WC Phils
The Nats are in 4th.. I think I am going to resign with them though because I like the up and coming ball club.
One last intriguing note, Albert Pujols is on the trading block, and the team interested... (hurts to say this as a die hard Cards fan..) the Cubs..

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Playing in my second season now. Started out with the Jays AA affiliate as a CP but being as they are bad with holding onto their core talent i was moved at the end of the 2011 season to the Phillies for nothing while posting an ERA under or around 1 for the season pitching in 60+ innings and 80 Ks total combined with only 7 walks.
Onto 2012. Started the season as the AA closer and had 15 straight successful closes i was moved to the AAA setup spot where i continued to dominate the league. Posting an ERA of 1.14 with 65 innings pitched and 90 Ks while still having only 8 walks. To my second off season now the Phillies have offered me a $260,000 contract and the AAA closer spot.Maple Leafs ][ Blue Jays ][ Raptors ][ Bears

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I've been seeing alot of very questionable trades and lineups in my RTTS and its still 2011. Ortiz is on the Braves, Domonic Brown was traded for Torii Hunter, Ibanez for Carlos Lee and Oswalt for Ben Sheets (WTF!?). This is just from what I've been keeping an eye on, every oither game there seems to be trades.Comment

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
I'm having a problem with velocity. My 2-seam and 4-seam fastballs are not what they should be. I have the 2-seam rating at 85 and 4-seam at 80 and their velocities are only topping at 91 mph.
Do I need to increase my changeup velocity rating in order to get my fastball up?Comment

Re: Batter Walkup Music RTTS
You need to put songs on the PS3's harddrive and then import them into your Jukebox in the game. From there Edit Player and on one of the customize tabs you can add songs for walkup and HRs and add cheers and jeers.
You can probably find detailed info in the Sounds of The Show section.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread
Just a brief thought I had-the offseason problems in franchise may lead to problems in RTTS. Teams may keep players longer in the minors than they normally would to hold on to their minor league talent and avoid paying them big money. Is anyone seeing teams offer long term deals to your RTTS players?Comment

Re: Batter Walkup Music RTTS
Songs added to the Jukebox cannot be used in-game as walkups and stadium sounds.
To use your own uploaded songs/sound effects, add them to the In-Game Music Cues.
Go to Playlist Creator and on the Custom Playlist side, press L2/R2 to switch between adding songs to your Jukebox, In-Game Cues, Imported Chants and Imported Yells.Comment
