Replies for a couple of you...
I lost my green light and got it back after raising my baserunning ability up to 50. And even though you don't have the green light, you'll still get the steal sign from the coach. Here's the bad thing - if you don't steal on the first pitch after the sign, they think you are going on your own! So, I'd say raise that BRABL. And read your mail.

Yep, me too, but can't do much about it. Usually this happens when your overall rating isn't as high as the guy you are aiming to replace. And whomever was complaining about their speedster getting power-hitter goals, I've gotten that too, and it pretty much sucks. Too bad they can't assign better goals based on your role for the team, or your stats. For instance, I haven't yet seen a goal about stealing x number of bases, or even scoring x number of runs.
You'll want to increase your Clutch rating, it's pretty important for a closer. Those look to be a pretty complimentary pitch arsenal, so you should be okay there. Other than Clutch, just keep leveling the "/9" stats and your pitch ratings. And to answer your question about pitching view, I switched views to one of the ones behind the pitcher, just seemed better. I hoped that would help me react to shots up the middle sooner, but that isn't working out. The Reaction rating would be an important one to improve, just for that reason (that's probably the only fielding stat to really work on).
And in my own play, my SS speedster for the Astros is close to finishing the first season, at AAA. With 1 game left to play, they are 1 game in the lead for the playoffs, I thought that was a good place to save and call it a night. He got his average back up to .256 before sliding back a bit and now is around .245 or so. Once I finish, I'll post his complete stats for his first year, and also for my 3B that finished his first season last weekend.
