    How do I get it back?? I'm now a 73 SPD, 44BRABL, 36BRAGG
I lost my green light and got it back after raising my baserunning ability up to 50. And even though you don't have the green light, you'll still get the steal sign from the coach. Here's the bad thing - if you don't steal on the first pitch after the sign, they think you are going on your own! So, I'd say raise that BRABL. And read your mail. You'll get an email when they put the green light back on.

Yep, me too, but can't do much about it. Usually this happens when your overall rating isn't as high as the guy you are aiming to replace. And whomever was complaining about their speedster getting power-hitter goals, I've gotten that too, and it pretty much sucks. Too bad they can't assign better goals based on your role for the team, or your stats. For instance, I haven't yet seen a goal about stealing x number of bases, or even scoring x number of runs.

You'll want to increase your Clutch rating, it's pretty important for a closer. Those look to be a pretty complimentary pitch arsenal, so you should be okay there. Other than Clutch, just keep leveling the "/9" stats and your pitch ratings. And to answer your question about pitching view, I switched views to one of the ones behind the pitcher, just seemed better. I hoped that would help me react to shots up the middle sooner, but that isn't working out. The Reaction rating would be an important one to improve, just for that reason (that's probably the only fielding stat to really work on).

And in my own play, my SS speedster for the Astros is close to finishing the first season, at AAA. With 1 game left to play, they are 1 game in the lead for the playoffs, I thought that was a good place to save and call it a night. He got his average back up to .256 before sliding back a bit and now is around .245 or so. Once I finish, I'll post his complete stats for his first year, and also for my 3B that finished his first season last weekend.

Funny, when I got all those ratings up to 99 I thought 99 meant 99/100, damn near perfect, Rickey Henderson/Vince Coleman/Tim Raines. And no, there's nobody on base in front of me, there's never anybody on base on the 2014 Oakland Athletics other than me. I checked the messages and there isn't anything from the manager. Any suggestions?
I got all ratings to 99 as well. You might try increasing the baserunning sliders-its what I am going to do.

Yeah, I was going to ask what your Steal Frequency slider is at. Even at default of 5, it doesn't steal very often. I'm following Bobhead's sliders, he has it at 10, with Steal Ability at 1, and I'm seeing a decent amount of steals attempted against me (and my teammates attempting as well).

Yeah, I did that. What's odd is that my guy *was* leading the league at one point in mid-May and then just completely stopped. Close to two weeks now and only 2 attempts, both as I said after one single.

EDIT: Another week in, one stolen base. I just don't get it. He refuses to steal.

My all-around RF has now gotten 8 goals completed out of 8 goals possible, receiving a 'Strong Showing' email each time. I then get called up to AAA Bench as a injury had messed with the teams depth chart. Just an awkward series of events.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

I have a question about pitching in this game. My set up - I’m playing a pitcher who is starting his 5th year in the majors. He has 5 pitches – 4SFB, 2SFB, Slider, Curve Ball, and Circle Change. All pitching attributes are maxed across the board. I am using metered pitching most of the time, sometimes I will use classic but not analog. I tried but suck at it. He has won the Cy Young twice and just hit 1000 career strike outs, average 10 a game. I don’t simulate much.

My question - When pitching metered and I click on the line that should mean I hit the correct release point, correct? So if I hit the correct release point and my control attribute is maxed my pitch should hit pretty close to where I’m aiming, right? Now for the most part I do. So why is it during some games the ball, while aimed at one corner, will hit on the other side of the plate out of the zone or hit up and out of the zone. When this starts happening I can aim dead center, hit my release point and the ball will hit out of the zone. These are the same games where my team can’t make plays or hit the ball and the other team can hit everything. I have to stop trusting my catcher on pitches and location if I don’t want a 10 ERA. So is this some random thing the game does to simulate a bad day? Because when it starts I have a bad day.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

The game does have some built-in "error", that's been mentioned a few times. Even if you do everything perfect, the ball doesn't always go precisely where you want it. If your ratings are that good, classic might be the way to go. And, your pitcher's confidence affects the pitches, if his confidence goes down, you'll start having more problems.

Although, if you are averaging 10 punch-outs a game, doesn't sound like you need much help.

Just had a four SB game. And then another one so far in this one. That was quick! Dee Gordon is only four behind for the team lead though. He has 24.

My baserunning sliders are at default-I didn't jack them up the way I did the hitting sliders. Interesting about the Strong Showing email-I've never seen it in RTTS. Started a pitcher and gave him 5 pitches early in the 1st season-4 seam, running fastball, knuckleball, changeup, and 12-6 curve-now all I have to do is improve those pitches.

Re: MLB 11 "Road To The Show" thread

There has been a big difference for me in batting right-handed and left-handed so far from the very beginning, so I think I'm going to drop batting right-handed against lefties. I noticed in my very first RttS that I actually liked batting lefty Vs. lefties because I could actually tell when a slider was coming more accurately. In AA and AAA batted much better left-handed, and after being closer to even in first year of MLB back to having a .100 difference in RHB and LHB average. I just get beat to easily with pitches inside from lefties. I have no clue why, but I'm always late against lefties and sliders and cutters just consistently beat me. I'm going to try the rest of this season as LHB only and see if I see the ball better.

Has anybody else tried switch hitting? How did you do?

I just won the Cy Young award AND the MVP for the American League. Thought it was pretty cool but then noticed Adam Wainwright did the same thing in the National League. Are you guys seeing this happen or is this just a rare occurence that happened to happen in the same year?

almost done with my rookie year in the MLB I'm kinda bummed that I really didn't get to compete for Rookie of the Year because I got called up with just enough games and at bats to play to count as my rookie season but not enough to compare to other rookies. oh well. My final stats for my first year

                              55 games played, AVG. .340, 14 HR 38 RBI.

Started a pitcher last week, a 4seam, Slurve, Circle-changer who got drafted by the Reds. Lights mostly in AA, added a Sinker and got traded mid season to the AA A's organization. Bumped to AAA and was helping them work to a playoff birth and about a week before the playoffs was bought out and purchased by the A's. 18 Years old and pitching in the MLB, not too shabby. Got a some cleanup/hold situations, some inning filling duties and 1 start after convincing the manager (went 7.1 1 run and he decides I should still come off the bench lol). A's missed the wildcard by like 10 or so games so got sent back to AAA. Signed a 4 yr 4,000,000ish contract (suprised when compared to what my fielder gets offered his first 2 years) and now I'm in spring training of year 2 and on the MLB bench hoping I don't get stuck in AAA too long since I'm their 6th best SP.

One thing though... I starting using rosters from the first/second week of June and why is Manny Ramirez playing LF? Did he not "retire" a while ago? Either way, I cringe when a ball is hit to LF lol.
