Nope. The Show allows you take pics. Just hit the ps button on your controller, so that xmb comes up. Slide to left to pictures tab. slide one up(I think) and it should say take screenshot.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
I'm thinking about trading Upton in my D'backs franchise...I already acquire Moustakas and Soria ($11 Mil for a reliever, which means that a return for upton should be in my price range, I only have $16 mil left to use for the payroll) for Archie Bradley (A), Matt Davidson (B), and another B prospect that I can't remember.
Now Upton is a great player don't get me wrong... but I wouldn't hit water if I felt of a boat with him. I'm looking for a 1st basemen (Goldsmith could be included in the package), a RF (to replace Upton) and an a Legitimate Ace (I could included Jarrod Parker or Skaggs if necessary) any Ideas?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
YES!!!YES!!!YES!!!
The Mets were road warriors thru the playoffs winning 6 road games inculding 4 wins in Philly. Never thought I would make it the World Series. Now I will get to try and repeat the '86 series. The National League won the All Star game so I have the home field advantage. I was only able to win 1 game playoff game at home. We shall see.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Turns out that Brian Mccann signing was an incredibly bad idea in the long run since after his first monster year when he hit 41 homers and led the Astros to a world series win his power numbers have looked like this
36, 22, 18, 14, 13
His batting average over those years was pretty lousy too although it did go back up briefly in his fourth year when I decided to move him to first base and acquire Buster Posey as my new catcher. Anyway in the last year of his contract I traded him to the Nats at the trade deadline for prospects. Anyway my pitching staff, led by Trevor Cahill, Daniel Hudson and Tommy Hanson has led me to back to back world series wins.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
I'm currently in the 2012 season in my Washington Nationals season, after finishing the 2011 season in 4th place in the NL East. I decided I needed to focus on pitching during the off-season and while I tried very hard to keep core players and go after some big name free agent pitchers, I just couldn't make the impact that I wanted to. I ended up snagging two leftys in Scott Kazmir and Paul Maholm. So my rotation looks like this...<O</O
<O</O
1: S. Strassburg (R)<O</O
2: S. Kazmir (L)<O</O
3: J. Zimmermann (R)<O</O
4: J. Lannan (L)<O</O
5: P. Maholm (L)<O</O
<O</O
In the pen, I had at the start of the 2012 campaign consisted of the following...<O</O
<O</O
LRP: R. Detwiler (L)<O</O
LRP: H. Rodriguez (R)<O</O
MRP: G. Mock (R)<O</O
MRP: S. Burnett (L)<O</O
SU: T. Clippard (R)<O</O
CL: D. Storen (R)<O</O
<O</O
My traditional starting lineup consisted of the following at the start of the season...<O</O
<O</O
1: SS I. Desmond (R)<O</O
2: RF J. Werth (R)<O</O
3: 3B R. Zimmerman (R)<O</O
4: 1B A. LaRoche (L)<O</O
5: LF J. Gomes (R)/M. Morse (R) - I've been platooning here as both have put up solid numbers.<O</O
6: 2B D. Espinosa (S)<O</O
7: CF E. Perez (R) - A prospect I had to call up more out of need than anything, he was rated higher than Roger Bernadina, who is still down in AAA.<O</O
8: C W. Ramos (R)<O</O
9: Pitcher<O</O
<O</O
Note that I wanted to keep this as close to simulation as possible by not bringing up Bryce Harper right away. Anyways, he is currently struggling hitting just .193 in AAA so far this season.<O</O
<O</O
My biggest black eye was that I had no true leadoff hitter, a lack of left handed hitters and a serious need for a legitimate center fielder. So I made a move in mid-May to try to make a run of this thing. <O</O
<O</O
Trade with the Cleveland Indians...<O</O
<O</O
Nationals Get <O</O
<O</O
CF Grady Sizemore<O</O
RP Rafael Perez<O</O
<O</O
Indians Get <O</O
<O</O
CL Drew Storen<O</O
RP Matt Chico - My top-rated reliever in the farm system<O</O
<O</O
I lose Storen (A potential) who had developed into one of the top closers in the business, so I moved Tyler Clippard to the closer role. <O</O
<O</O
Sizemore would make an immediate impact, sending Perez to the bench and Desmond down into the 7 hole. <O</O
<O</O
In his first game as a National against the visiting Cincinnati Reds, Sizemore hits a solo homerun to lead off the game. He followed that up with another solo homerun in the 3rd, to lead the Nats over the Reds 4-2 and picking up player of the game honors. <O</O
<O</O
At this point, I'm sitting in 3rd in the NL East, just 3.5 games back of the division-leading Marlins. Looking forward to seeing how this thing progresses.<O</O

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Quick update:
I finished May with a monthly record of 21-8, giving me a 35-17 overall record, and tied with the Orioles for first, 1/2 game ahead of Boston.
The odd thing is I am killing it on the road. I am 26-4 away from Yankee Stadium, and 9-13 at Yankee Stadium.
Teixeira had a power outage, only swatting 3 HRs this month.
Beckett did throw a no-no against KC, striking out 13 and allowing one walk.
Other than that, things remain status quo. June is usually one of the better months, as I always seemingly do well in interleague play, so hopefully I can turn the 3-team race into 2 teams chasing me.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread
Quick transaction updates:
Mark Trumbo came off the DL and I called him up to replace the injured Mark Teixeira, who will miss a month with a shoulder strain.
I designated Ramiro Pena for assignment and called up Cla Meredith to replace him to bolster the bullpen.
Finally, in the MLB draft, I snagged 3 RP and a SS for when Jeter retires.
I am in the middle of the month of June right now. I will update on my June progress after the month concludes in my franchise.Comment
