Using the Mets, sitting at 0-2 right now (Im using Johan even tho IRL he is injured) lost the first game 10-3 Mike Stanton was 4-4 3 hrs and 7 rbi.... just a pure beast, and the second game I lost 5-3, Pelfrey pitched well but the bullpen screwed it up. I just brought up Lucas Duda (saw him play for the cyclones) and sent down Tejeda.

I'm so tempted to start my dynasty but I'm going to force myself to hold out until the full minors are out. I usually wind up starting over at some point anyway, plus whenever I try to make guys who aren't in the game they wind up looking (and playing) nothing like the real guy because I overrate them.

I'll get a couple of RTTS games going to tide me over for 3 weeks or so.

I've already started. In Spring Training right now as I get accustomed to the game.

CB, i wish I had your chutzpah, starting a franchise before getting updated rosters.
Your franchise you are starting now is your main one?
Do u start others?

I think one cool thing bout starting with the created MILers is the announcers actually say the names of most of the generated guys.

Plus, there is something cool about the fakies, they become YOUR guys.

I actually started over with the updated roster because I wanted to turn off training and didn't.

So I re-started today and took 2 of 3 from the Padres. I lit up Mat Latos for 7 runs in 3 innings of work.

Pujols has no hits in the first series. 0 for 8 with 2 sacrifice flies and 5 walks.

Starting mine up now!!!!!!!! Going to use spring training as the final area to tweak setting and it's GO TIME!!

Glad you mentioned the training CB.. I would have forgot too....lol

I will be doing my franchise with the same team I always do ( the jays ). I think this year I will just dive in and start a franchise, I have found in the last couple years I was just waiting for the "perfect" rosters and the "perfect" sliders and I never really got off the ground and didnt get to enjoy the game because I was always tweaking this or that and dont want to do that this year, just want to enjoy the game, I might update the rosters of the ones that came out yesterday ( im assuming this will fix Mike Napoli and take him off the jays roster and put him on Texas )

Unfortunately I am losing my job in May , but have received a decent severance pack so hope to actually finish a full 162 game season this year,lol

Pujols: one of the few guys who can get so much done even when hes doing so little hit wise.
He's the type of player who can go 0-30 and still lead the team in OBP and Ribbies during that stretch.

CB, let me know if anyone signs Pettitte off the FA wire.
U could use him there with that Starting spot open.
Did u consider him?

Guys - I have never played The Show, it seems like from your conversations that when you do a franchise, you can only be 1 team? Can you be more then 1? Can you do a fantasy draft? Your input helps a bunch. Thanks

I posted a full Jays minors roster in the vault (AAA/AA) if you want to at least use those so you can use guys like Lawrie.

just got the show, and traditionally I always jump right into the franchise, sim spring training, and start with rust (makes it feel like I have to shake off the same rust that real players do)...starting up with my Rays...and man I gotta get back into the groove of hitting. Just 5 hits, no runs, lost to the O's first game 5-0. Price pitched well, but gave up a 2 run homer in the 7th with 2 outs, pulled him and Corey Wade gave up three more in the final inning. The analog controls feel great, but man the hitting adjustment is gonna take some time. I decided to use default for guess pitch though because using classic 1/4 like I had in the past was getting too easy. I still play veteran difficuty, and I turn the PCI on (though it doesn't seem to matter with default so I may just shut it back off)...I'm loving what I see though. Can't wait to get this test done at school so I can get back home and play some more MLB the show!

1-3 with the mets, just played the first game against the phills.... I HATE CHASE UTLEY! lol, every year he torments me.... next game i face blanton before the halladay johan matchup

You should be able to do both with 30 team control.

Welcome to the Show.

You can control as many teams as you like or you can control all of them. Its up to you.

And yes, you can do a fantasy draft. I recommend turning off auto save when doing a fantasy draft, if not, you'll be spending a TON of time going through the rounds.

Nope I just edited the Jays (and since I used an older roster update had to do some of the other moves manually like Vladdy to Baltimore etc)

Also to cb, how do I turn off autosave? All I see if the post game auto save option but they still save other stuff.
