Now about the trade, I don't like to rob the cpu. As J.C. and Baez are getting older and more unconsistent. While Bard is young and is getting better. But it's ur franchise you can do whatever you like.
Well, yeah. It's more like inconsistant. Not up and down. You're right about that.

I'd like to throw somebody in there to sweeten the deal for Boston (as for some reason it cannot be done without JC and Baez). So I'll check my stock and see if I can sweeten it somehow. Make up for stealing Scutaro from them for a AA Relief D-Prospect.

I honestly wanted it to be Romero, Kendrick and a prospect but Kendrick's on the DL and can't be traded. I just might wait it out for a bit and see what happens...

EDIT: Alright, a deal is in place. Phillies get RP Daniel Bard for RP Danys Baez, RP JC Romero and RP Jermaine Sasser (My top relief prospect. 22 years old. AAA. B-Potential). Really like Sasser, so it was tough...but it's just pixels on a screen I guess....

Last night I lost Buster Posey for 2-3 months as well.

        Dayum!
This is getting ridiculous...in addition to the above mentioned injuries, today I got this:

He was 6-0 going into this game. To add insult to injury he ended up with the loss after pitching just 1.1 innings. (Oddly, he was not struck in the head in the game).

        I may be restarting...

Yeah, as much as injuries make it interesting, I play with them off. I typically play a franchise to use 2 or 3 key players, and if one got injured, it wouldn't be as fun to me. Plus, i've never found a slider setting to give me a good balance of short term and long term injuries.

Yeah, I think it's NBA 2K that has the two seperate sliders: one for injury frequency and one for injury severity. That would be an awesome addition in a game where basically every player gets dinged up at one point in the season.

Maybe i'm lucky but the cpu cannot hit vs me at the moment...I faced the Royals and Twins so that help.

Anyway i'm 15-5 and got Carlos Carrasco facing Carl Pavano today.

Same sorta thing happened to me. My backup catcher Brian Schneider slid into second feet first for a double and now he's out 3 months with a broken arm... Never had that sorta thing happen to me before. Really sucks when that happens to you.

I offered the CPU the Bard for Romero/Baez/Top Prospect and, though their interest bar was through the roof, they declined. Same thing happened when I tried to get Bray from Cincinnati. Odd.

And I just played 2 games against San Diego at Petco. Blanton pitched beautifully, 7 innings, 9 strikeouts, 1 Earned on 4 Hits (Just a solo home run to Ryan Ludwick). That tied the game at 1. Then Russ Springer blew another game and I lost 3-2.

Halladay pitched one of the best games I've ever played, 8 Innings, 1 Earned, 6 Hits, 12 Strikeouts. Won 4-1. Lidge shut the door again. 22 Strikeouts in 13 Innings, 0 Earned Runs, 9 Saves. Series finale up. Cliff Lee on the mound. Hopefully will take 3 of 4...

I get Carpenter back in 2 days!!!!! So excited, we have maintained our lead in the division, even grew it a game and a half, since he went out over 6 weeks ago. Get him back, shuffle the rotation a bit and hopefully get ready to make a strong push in the 2nd half of the season.

                  Still seeking a bat.

In my Mets franchsie, I just completed my series vs the Braves. I lost the first two games of the series by the identical score of 5-1, was getting a little frustrated with the hitting. I was getting good pitches to hit and could not seem to do anything with them. I ended up shutting out the Braves out in the finale 6-0, thanks to some good situational hitting.

Since moving up the difficulty level I am 2-4, both wins shutouts.

Reyes,Pagan,Ike and Murph are playing well for me. My bullpen is inconsistent and Wright has been wrong.

Somehow Carasco broke his hand throwing a pitch and is out 2-3 months, i called up Capuano to be my long relief/lefty and has been great.

Florida Marlins have my number. Dropped 2 of 3 to them. In the losses, they came up with a PH HR in the top 9th and a solo HR in the top 10th to beat me by a run. Salty!

17-11 now, 2nd NL Central. Got a 4-4 ballgame saved in the top 8th against the Houston Astros. Travis Wood pitched his *** off as he has all season so far, but up near 100 pitches through 5.2 IP. Bray comes in, gets the last out, then screws up the 7th. They load the bases (2 walks, 1 hit) and I bring in Jared Burton. Burton gets a flyball to CF, but Drew Stubbs misplays it and it goes over his head as he's coming in. 3 runs score, they get a sac fly, and it's tied at 4-4.

D-Train, Dontrelle Willis, in to pitch. I've been saving him for a spot start but since I upped Starter Stamina to full, haven't needed him so he needs some work. I see more extra innings...

I've won 5-1 vs teh Twins. Carrasco was very strong for 7 innings giving up 6 hits and 1 hr to Young on a bad curveball.

Nick Werglaz hit a 2 run homerun to give us a 4-1 lead in the 6th on a 0-2 hit and run try.

16-5 now with the Tribe. Scott Baker vs Somebody from AAA tomorrow...all my SP are tired as I used Talbot in a 16th innins game fo 4 innings yesterday.

I'm playing on AS...the cpu cannot hit at the moment..

just dropped two in a row to the Cubs. Bullpen is killing me right now. Game 1 we can't get the ball to Franklin because setup blows lead.

Game 2, we get the ball to Franklin and he gives up a solo shot to Ramirez that ties the game. Then Snell comes in the game in extra innings and blows the game.

                          Bullpen =

Maybe it's me but I love injuries, I love when it happens to me as well. Obviously I don't want it to happen a ton but injuries happen in baseball and they happen a lot. Just look around baseball, players are getting hurt left and right. I want them in my franchise, in fact it's a must for me. I lost Prado the other day for the season and I've had to make some adjustments. When I get to the deadline I may have to look at trade options. He'll be back for spring training next year.

That's just baseball to me, there is no way I'd restart a franchise because of an injury or want it taken out. It would take the fun out of it for me.

I understand the frustration of him having an injury when it didn't occur in the game but they are just random and I can deal with that. I mean when Prado got hurt the announcers said it was a hamstring injury, after the game I found out it was a torn rotator cuff, lol.

I love it though, maybe I'm in the extreme minority.

SON OF A BISCUIT!!!! I was excited because Carpenter was coming back from the DL and I was finally going to be able to have my pitching staff back at full strength.

Well....on the day before Carp becomes available, Wainwright breaks his hand! .....and is out for 2-3 months, meaning he won't be back until late August at the earliest and more than likely not until September.

                              GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

If any of you read into my Rockies Franchise earlier, that was stopped. My friend had a problem with his saved data so we both decided to start over, both playing as the pirates. We are still doing the quest to 162. My brother also joined in... So far he is 9-9, I am 10-7, and my brother is 2-10( he needs improvement haha). So far its pretty fun at first I was having a hard time hitting with a team average around .225, in the past few games i have brought that up to about .265. My main offensive contributers are Neil Walker, Garret Jones, and Pedro Alvarez. They all have averages above .300 but I dont have the exact number at this time. Andrew McCutchen has been SUCH a disappointment, hes batting .140, he cant turn it around. He is like 9/59 this year, its such a disappointment. He has killed so many rallies it's unreal. Hopefully he turns it around.
