So being spoiled is expecting the game to run as smoothly as advertised?

Forgetting gameplay, we are talking about features.

Exactly! We're talking about pre-programmed code, here. People want the virtual GMs of these virtual teams to think like REAL general managers of REAL teams. SCEA can only do so much, because we're not dealing with real people here. The Show, as it is right now, trounces anything released before it. MVP 05 was fine, sure, but I was hitting a MINIMUM of 45-50 home runs a year with even the worst players on my team, and on the highest difficulty levels, too. It played well, but it was far from 'realistic.'

No, what I am saying is, back in the day, before online consoles and games.

We accepted it and did not give two sh*ts about it. We worked around it and it was what it was. And this was when cartridges on the NES were $70+

Now we are so accustomed to patches and getting things fixed in a MORE complex time for game development and engines... that we still whine and whine and whine, even when they are working on it.

There is no point to continue to complain, just wait until it is fixed. The game is NO WAY "unplayable". You just work around it like games of the past. Or have fun messing with other modes and wait for the patch. It is what it is.

Maybe I have been a PC gamer for over 15 years, so I am used to this type of thing. But I do notice the trend, in the new wave of console and patches, etc, that people have a sense of "entitlement". And it is not just in gaming, but everywhere in the world with everything. Must be the "have it your way" slogans that are shoved in people's heads.

Forgetting gameplay??!?!?!?! Isn't that what REALLY matters? You all pick some little thing and act like it's the end of the world. This game runs pretty darn smoothly.

I'm not going to even dignify this with a response.

Seriously! Note to self: save budget room for year three when I can load up on top talent!! How does anyone know what'll happen in the real life sport? Expecting things to progress "normally" is perhaps the most unrealistic expectation of them all.

Funny thing is, most teams do save budget room for the future to load up on top talent.

Marlins were notorious for this, and then selling off everyone after the two WS wins.

And there have been some wacky signings (all the RP signed to long term and big contracts this year) and Jason Werth. So it is not out of the norm really.

Haha, whatever man. I immediately discredit anyone who starts off a game complaint with "Forgetting game play..." or "Other than the game play..." this game doesn't deliver. I'm enjoying The Show '11 while you all pretend that your opinions matter to SCEA, like they're losing sleep because your copy of the game is sitting next to the TV while you still play '10.

And even then that didn't work unless you blew in your cartridge 50 times and shook it around.

Maybe blowing in your PS3 will fix the free agent issues? Has anyone tried it yet?!

I use an air can frequently to keep things dusted and clean. Does that count?

If that doesn't work, try slamming the top of the system with your hand. Plan C: throw your controller at it. And if THAT doesn't work, you may have a reasonable complaint.
