i know what ur tryna do man...i wasnt gunna criticize u....ur right, im not a fan of those kind of franchises but if i HAD to pick, i'd pick the Mauer to Miami and Morneau to the Dodgers although there's no chance if i was Miami, i'd give up my top 2 prospects for Mauer....the only reason i didnt pick the other trades was because of the money factor and Boston doesn't need Mauer....as far as Morneau goes, he'd be an instant upgrade over Loney if healthy....and the Dodgers can afford him

Cahill to Reds FOR Jay Bruce, mid-B prospect, low B prospect.[/quote]

WHOA buddy...first off, there's ZERO chance the Reds are trading Jay Bruce...and definetly not for Cahill....second, there's negative-zero chance the Reds would be giving up 2 promising prospects in addition to Bruce for Cahill no matter what his ERA is....like i said before 2 B's+high C is good enough for Cahill

I'm sorry, I have NO CLUE about the NL lol.

Would you think that Wojciechowski/Jimenez/Jenkins would be enough for Cahill? 2 mid B's and a high C.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

starting pitcher nor catcher is a position of need for the Snakes as like everybody has stated before, they're in desperate need of a 3B.....but yes what ur offering, potential-wise is fair for a sub-2.50 ERA Cahill

What if I took out Jenkins and put in Matt Dean? Power hitting 3B. Could also stick in outfielder Dwight Smith, Jr. Dean is a C, Smith a B.

Not really..... 2-3 years. Woj is performing admirably and advancing his timeline, though.

i figured....well Cahill signed a very reasonable 5-year extension last April so the Snakes wouldn't cut bait with him unless they were bowled over with an offer or he was god-awful so that pretty takes the realism fact out of it

Ok just restarted my Cubs franchise after Scott's rosters came out. I am just after the All Star Break (simmed) and while I am doing better than the real life Cubs (40-46 5th in NL Central), major injuries to some key players have forced me to be sellers at the deadline. So I was wondering if you guys could help me move some of my players by either suggesting trades or informing me of realistic returns (potential wise).

Dempster- He is 6-8 with a 3.86 ERA and 109 strikeouts over 119 innings.
                          Garza- (28 B POT)- He is 7-8 with a 4.23 ERA and 101 strikeouts over 106.1 innings.
Maholm (29 B POT All-Star)- He is so far my best pitcher with a 7-3 record and 2.34 ERA. 83 strike outs over 119.1 innings.
Shawn Camp- Has a 2.95 ERA 1 save and 29 strike outs over 42.2 innings.
Marmol (29 B)- He is struggling this season with a 6.31 ERA, 22 saves with 29 strike outs over 25.2 innings.
                          Soto (29 B)- .238/.332/.448, 12 HRs and 39 RBIs
Reed Johnson- .298/.348/.411, 2 HRs and 36 RBIs
                          DeJesus- .283/.363/.431, 4 HRs, 26 RBIs

Let me know if you need more info on these guys. I don't need to move all of these guys its just the ones I feel I can the most return based on their performances/ability.

                          Thanks

Sorry for the long post but I figured you guys would want as much information as possible. Also I am not opposed to shipping 2 or 3 quality guys for 1 or 2 prospects with good potential.

                            Thanks

Thanks and I think you might be a little too generous with that sack of baseballs for Marmol lol

@ billyboy: since you're only 6 games out of the WC, i'd actually think about acquiring a vet or two to help u contend...even tho you have a chitload of teams to leapfrog, you're well within the WC chase if u go for it imo
