Yea I have been trying to decide if I should do that or not. I have lost Soriano for the season. LaHair for the next month. Castro for 3 weeks and Samardzija for 1 month. I guess I will see where I am standing at the dead line since I will have Castro back and will be getting LaHair and Samardzija back early/mid august. I probably will still move Johnson and or DeJesus to play LaHair in RF while Rizzo plays first.

    Thanks for the advice

lol it's alright. Surprisingly my team has somewhat held it's own despite those injuries. As much as DeWitt and Jeff Baker kind of suck, it is nice having them on my team since they can play multiple positions. Which also gives you a hint at what my team looks like right now lol.

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Not really a trade question, but I do have a 'fairness' question.

As the Yankees, I picked up B potential 3B Alex Liddi, whom was released on outright non-revocable waivers from SEA.

SEA went bananas at the deadline, and traded for Alfonso Soriano and Chipper Jones to help bolster their team towards a playoff run. I'm assuming they released Liddi because of roster space after the Chipper deal.

Was this a [enter generic curse word] move on my part? And for reality sake, should I have let someone else claim him? I am really weak organizationally at 3B, had a weak moment, and figured their was really no downside to adding him on (cheap, young, 1 yr MLB service time, high potential).

Now, I'm sort of feeling like I unfairly improved my AAA team. Granted, I don't believe he's projected to be a stud or anything, but I still feel like SEA should have NEVER let him go for nothing in return...and that I unrealistically capitalized on the occassional odd-ball CPU roster management programming.

Should I feel guilty??? If you guys saw him there, would you have claimed him?

It showed horrible logic on part of the CPU, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with claiming him. Worst comes to worst, you can just trade him back for an F prospect or something.

                  That's what I was wondering.

Does everyone else feel the right thing to do is trade him back?

I know I'll just end up trading him myself in the offseason, along with other players, for someone decent. I don't think I can contain myself! LOL!

Oh...by the way, Ramone Russell was released too! LOL! I think he's a D potential.

Sorry Ramone. You're awesome and all, but I already have a roster FULL of aging, mediocre INF's...

haha yea something like that. Well I have decided to throw in the towel and hope Cubs fans will want to wait at least 5 more years before the next championship lol. So I guess how do you guys feel about this trade?

Matt Garza to Pirates for CF Starling Marte (A) and SP Jeff Locke (B).
I would be willing to exchange Tabata (RF A) for Marte. The Pirates signed J.D. Drew so there is an odd man out between Marte and Tabata. Garza would be a nice upgrade over Locke in the rotation.

Looking to trade 2 KC for frenchy in my cubs chise...what players need to be added on my end to make this a realistic trade.

Again, 30 team control so any player is possible

with Garza sporting a over-4 ERA, i'd probably lean towards 3 B's instead of an A

Just saw something on fangraphs the other day showing that the biggest soon to be FA pitchers over the last few years netted 3 B's and a C. I believe that Garza still has another year of team control. If true, I could see a low A being included. But I'd worry that they signed Drew for a reason meaning they probably needed temporary depth until Marte comes up. I think (just an opinion) that you might be better off looking for another low A somewhere else or settling for their B's like Grossman.

Interesting. If SEA just wants to dump him, look at what they got for Soriano and Chipper--maybe put him on the Cubs or Braves as part of that trade. Then, try to trade for him.
