What kind of value does Alex Rios offer? IRL he's been a true roller coaster from year to year but in the game - we talking a low B? There's 20-20 potential and I think we said two low B's for Shin Soo Choo a couple of weeks ago. Choo just feels "more safe" in regards of trading for an outfielderFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Multi quote madness....
Whatever you say, bud.
There isn't really a way to rebuild your team unless you want to try to draft guys and wait for years and sign middling FAs then. Hell, I have Garrett Jones as my 1B.
That's sorta how us mortal, non-200MM-payroll guys rebuild, man. Drafting is a great thing.
I've tried fair trades. The CPU is never interested unless it is whooping my *** in the deal. I've offered plenty of deals where it's even and helping both of our 'wants/needs' and are even in money and ability. Not interested unless I am completely screwed by the deal.
Think about it from the CPU's perspective. It seems that you're not interested unless you're whooping their ***, as well.
I have to completely overwhelm a team just to get a decent player, even when they're completely out of the running.
They had to give you two A's to get A-Rod. That's the exact same thing.
There are never any options in the offseason for FAs. And when there is one, they almost always sign with their original team despite an offer blowing the OT's away.
Once again, drafting is such a great tool.
So when they come back and offer me something of value for something I don't need, I do it. The only deal I think might be "unfair" was the A-Rod one since I figured he'd be gone and they'd have traded a couple prospects. The others I traded steady players for prospects.
3 A's for Alex Rodriguez is more than unfair. Jurickson Profar for Mark Texiera, even straight up, is unfair. Getting anything more than a C for Russell Martin is unfair. And I don't know what you traded for Matsuz.
There's always 30-team control and the feedback you can get from us fellow gamers here on the boards. Always someone online that can help on determining a fair value in a deal or a specific player.
Like a wise man once said about 30-team control: Learn it, live it, love it.
What is it that you always say AC? "30 Team Control. Learn it. Love it. Live it." ?
Anyways...back on topic before somebody says something that gets this thread locked.
I can't think of a good guy to ask a price about, so somebody ask away. AC you've always got ideas and trades floating, go!
EDIT: Totte, we both thought the same thing
Actually, I got some questions of my own. What would Troy Tulowitzki('s massive contract) cost with the Rockies not giving anything back? Contract + injuries = not much, I'd assume.
What'd a rental Brian McCann cost?Last edited by AC; 10-30-2012, 04:22 PM."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

McCann is someone that they'd prefer to resign so your renting him is taking away their chances to do so so you'd have to overwhelm them and overpay for him. Actually, just read they exercised his option but still...Last edited by rjackson; 10-30-2012, 05:14 PM.Comment

I've read enough stuff to know that Tulo certainly isn't 'untouchable,' and that we're past that era. Which actually makes me want to punch a wall."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

I wholeheartedly agree with the first assessment of 3 A's, but I'll counter his current value with three B's OR one A."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
