In all honesty, I think its CarGo that would get dealt. His home/road splits are awful, like he benefits from that park SO much.
Oh please, you want him traded cause *you* traded for him.

They have Trevor Story behind him, have been meh-below average, not a great farm system... it's like the Roy Halladay situation, only Tulo's locked into a terrible contract.

It would help if we knew their contract situations.

As far as the Rockies go. From what I've noticed over the past 10 years, every player at any time is expendable for prospects. The only exception to this, is when they lock a player up. Todd Helton, CarGo, Tulo.. they locked those players up for a long period of time.
That doesn't happen often for the Rockies and that should be considered a factor. They tried to do it with Matt Holliday. He wanted an insane contract so he became expendable. CarGo and Tulo have both expressed they want to stay in Colorado, unlike Holliday... so I really don't understand why anyone would think they would trade those players when they are locked up.
Teams are different. Most teams only care about winning. The Rockies care about putting a decent team out there and having players they can sell to the fans. CarGo and Tulo are those players.

Lol not really, I really don't care what people think of that trade...since I got 3 people to sign off on it, all of whom are respected minds around here. Plus I gave up a couple of high impact arms and a solid bat to go get him.

Seriously though, my gut tells me that Boston may be in play. They just dumped a ton of payroll and probably want some star power. CarGo+ Pesky Pole/Green Monster= a monster year

From what I've read and heard. The Rockies don't have Trevor Story as a replacement for Tulo. I believe they intend to use him at 3rd or 2nd base..

Literally every FanGraphs I've read mentions that he'll only shift to 2nd because of Tulo, and that's he more than capable of playing SS.

You say that you know more about the Rockies than anyone else, but the fact that you mention anyone besides Nolan Arenado being your 3B of the future scares me.

Well obviously he is the hopeful future at 3rd base. I was just saying that they intend to move story to 2nd or 3rd if they call him up. Most likely 2nd with Arenado being close to MLB ready.

This is my main point. There are many more factors than what has been expressed in a lot of trades in this thread. Not a big deal... but if you're going for realism, it should be a factor.

So the total package for both would be 4 B's (2 high, 2 mid) and an A? How 'bout 2 A's and a high B? (I'm like out of B's) and a huge loss of my budget

Oh sorry, I meant 2 highest and a mid. 3 players not 4.

And it depends on how CarGo is playing, how the Rockies are doing. If they're contending or he's playing out of his mind, no chance in hell he goes.

Well I'm in off season and the Rockies went 62-100 and Cargo hit .253/18/77
Tulo hit .324/17/47 (only 173 AB for Tulo)
