E5! He came up in the Reds system if I'm not mistaken. Chase Headley of the Padres is 27 yo but doesn't really fit the bill of a power hitting 3B

Got an interesting trade offer proposed to me by the Marlins. I have C Soto on the trade block and he's batting.260 something having a steady year and the Marlins offered me C John Buck who's hitting .252 and a B prospect for Soto. Buck and Soto have similar numbers offensively, granted Soto's are a little higher but they are pretty even. I figure Soto has the higher ceiling.

Is this trade a decent trade? Or should I offer my own Soto for Buck straight up because the CPU gets ripped off by sending me a B prospect too?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I just started my Twins chise but we have not been impressive so far. In June I would like to start unloading some players that I have no plans for. So far I have decided that I will try to deal Pavano, Marquis, Carroll, Span, and Willingham.

I would like to get a entirely new middle IF, a corner OF or 3B with power, and a nearly MLB ready SP with #1 potential. Any suggestions on who to target?

What do you guys think Matt Garza, Ryan Dempster, Geovany Soto and Alfonso Soriano are worth?

Matt Garza and Ryan Dempster are doing pretty decently, even though their numbers doesn't show it (bad luck pitchers). Geovany Soto is way below average (batting .200ish)

However, Paul Maholm has been on fire for the whole season (10-3, 2.13 ERA).

I'm currently in mid July, just after the all star break. I'm looking to trade them for few younger prospects and maybe a few "stop-gaps" because I already got some GREAT lower-level prospects that will be ready in 2-3 years.

Garza has the most value. In real life, they would have to be blown away to move him. So I'm saying that you could get a top level prospect or maybe even two. That's just going on what they were asking for this offseason, they wanted Turner and another top prospect from the Tigers and they asked Toronto for a couple top level prospects. So in the game, i'd say if the trade was to a contender, you could pull in an A and maybe two B's, or if you're lucky, two A's.

For the rest of those players, you're not going to get much for them if you're worrying about realism, especially Soriano. Those guys are the ones that will bring you some of the "stop-gaps" you're looking for.

Chase has a pretty good glove in the game. So far I've hit well with him and no errors through two months of my franchise.

I am the Nationals and while it's early on, i am looking for a center field later on in the season. I just need a center fielder that plays good defense, B-C overall speed, and decent contact and/or power. Any ideas?

If you don't want to give up much for a CFer you could go after someone like Constanza from the Braves. Don't know if he'll even be an upgrade for you (not familiar with the CF situation there) but he provides good contact from both sides of the plate, pretty good speed, and can chase down almost anything in the field.

Will Venable of the Pads. He fits all your criteria. Although he is a RF, he has played CF in the past.

Carlos Gomez. Lacking a bit on the power, but great speed and outstanding fielder.

Currently I'm 3-7 record does not matter to me I know it will come around. Pitching in late games have killed it made a minor trade to get Brett Myers. So far I have only made minor trades for players like Cory Patterson , Jose Constanza. I'm not a big fan of big trades but I need to do one. I cannot hit to save my life with Justin Morneu at all!!! Batting .086 have tried everything batting practice home run derbys I just dont like him and he also has 5 errors so far this season. Would also like to move Matt Capps in a deal with Justin aswell.

I rly need a 2nd basemen or 3rd basemen until Sano is rdy to come up those two postions our my two most glaring holes in my lineup. I'm going to wait out my pitching and wait until that comes around I like my starters going to keep that intact
