Buster Olney @Buster_ESPNTwo reasons why Arizona will listen on Bauer: 1) Avg. fastball velo was 92.2 mph, less than in college, and 2) His willingness to adjust."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Finished the 2012 season and I'm now in the offseason, using default rosters. Need to upgrade my lineup and I've got a surplus of young starting pitching. The CPU is willing to do this deal:
I'd acquire:
Infielder in his mid-to-late 30s. Hit .256 with 30 homers and 90 RBIs last season. Makes $5.5M a year with four years left on his deal. Ratings are declining. Is an A potential but a B overall.
I'd give up:
Starting pitcher in his mid-to-late 20s. He went 13-8 with a team-best 2.40 ERA last season. He's arbitration eligible; I figure he'll get $5M or so a year in his next deal. Ratings are declining. Is a B potential and B overall.
SpoilerI'd acquire A-Rod to take over at 3B for Chipper, who retired. I'd be giving up Jurrjens, who obviously had a much better virtual season than real season. If it matters, A-Rod had an awful postseason, but Jurrjens struggled in the playoffs too.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
How much to put Lowrie back in a Red Sox uniform? Also how much to get that power hitting righty Josh Willingham?
Also if it's not too much, I've been hearing Bauer's name being thrown around both on here and in MLBTR, and I've been looking around for SP for the A's (we all know how good of trade partners Arizona and Oakland are!!!) as well as me (Red Sox),the Padres, and the Tigers. Anyone?Last edited by CameRoN0407; 11-07-2012, 07:26 PM.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Jason Bay and the New York Mets came to an agreement to terminate his contract today, and there's a report going around that Bay may be interested in heading back to Boston which I would actually really like at a club friendly contract, and I was just wondering since he was under contract in the game for two years I believe, what do you think his value would be? and who do you think I could trade Daniel Nava for if anythingComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
It's just a rumor right now but; he hit .267 with 36 homeruns and 119 RBI, how could you not want to at least try to bring him in again? I'm a little worried about the outfield spots for the Red Sox because Ross will almost certainly not come back, and I don't think Daniel Nava and Ryan Kalish are the solutionsComment

How much to put Lowrie back in a Red Sox uniform? Also how much to get that power hitting righty Josh Willingham? I'm not sure on either of them--both of their GMs have maintained that they won't trade them so you'd probably have to overpay. For Willingahm, probably a couple of B potentials with at least one being a SP. HOU probably wants prospects at SP, RP, C, and OF and wouldn't budge for less than two low B's.
Anyone? Probably a SS and/or 3B that can play everyday is what they are looking for iirc.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I need a SP as Floyd is doing horribly. Would SEA consider trading Felix Hernandez? Seriously, anyone familiar with the Pads know who they would've listened on nearing the trade deadline this year...maybe Stauffer?Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Jackie Z has sadi He's not interested in trading Felix. BUUUUUUUUT... if the price is right, Felix is packing his bags an *HOPEFULLY* head to Boston #DoubtIt. I'm not giving any particular value because I don't want to start WW3 on here. But I'd say at least 3-4 A's and a B.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!
