Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Would Romero, Dwight Smith Jr., and Victor Martinez be enough for Adrain Gonzalez??? I'm just looking for fairness not realism.Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
For Latos? Max Scherzer, Aaron Sanchez (he should be an A pot. but if he's not, give up a pitching prospect with A potential, Colby Rasmus and another B prospect at 3B ( don't know the Jays system super well, maybe AC can helP me out with that one)Comment

Anibal Sanchez and Omar Infante for Max Scherzer, Jeff Mathis, and Brian Roberts Fair???Comment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Mathis is worthless. Sanchez and Scherzer might be equal but Infante > Brian Roberts (who I think was doing piss poor in your franchise no?)Comment

Dude you're waaaaaaaay off on all of these trades, and you pretty much ignored everything I said. Good luck finding a deal because I'm not helping anymore if I'm just gonna be ignored"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay...
I'm in 2016 of my franchise(the off season before)
I managed to win the World Series in 2015 due to a great 2014-15 off season where I was able to outbid the Phillies for Clayton Kershaw. He's signed to a 4 year 20 million per contract.
I landed Ian Kennedy in a trade..(he's my #2 and surprising good)...and after that it's Matt Harvey at 3....Dillon Gee at 4 and whoever I can get together at 5(last year it was a mix of Chris Capuano and Zach Wheeler for a spell...Jake Westbrook when Cap got injured.
My bullpen was mediocre at best...and I'm surprised I made the playoffs let alone won any of the series....let alone the W.S.
Here is the deal....I'm strapped budget wise....and I need to free up some cash for a reliever(my best one just retired!) and a CF(Ellsbury is up...and Venters is also up for FA...and he's a friggin beast)
There are only a few teams willing to take on Kershaw's salary...
Texas is one and they are willing to deal me.
Holland(1 year left on his deal he's making 3 mil...I'm going to have to pay to keep him I know)
B Catcher
A RF
for
Kershaw(3 years left on his deal)
I know what you guys are thinking...KERSHAW!
But I could really use a leadoff CF and a quality RP(not much after Venters)
Trading Kershaw would free up that cash.
I do have Wheeler waiting in the wings as well.
What do you think?

Re: 2012 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I know....
I literally ran the 2015 campaign with $600,000.00 available and I didn't have much salary coming off(I overpayed to keep David Wright for 5 years....and he's declining....so much that I considered moving him to 2nd and signing Longoria instead of a CF)
But the big problem is there are only a handful of teams willing to take that salary..
Yanks(they have nothing to return)
Phillies(I'd rather put my head through a windshield)
Dodgers(nothing)
Red Sox(STACKED at SP)
Texas
You're right though....I've got to get creative.
