If you're in a couple years, then definitely add Miller. Vitek's value just drops off.

Well, I haven't posted in here for quite a long time but I need some advice on what to give up for Chase d'Arnaud. I'm thinking that he would make a nice depth guy to add to the roster.

He is indeed a good guy for depth. I have him in my dynasty and he's done wonders in spring. I'd say a mid-low C depending on how he's doin'. How is he doin'?

The A's have sort of a logjam in the OF which explains why they're willing to move a guy like Young. Getting another OF'er back in Viciedo though doesn't feel 100% unless they can stash him at DH full time? He's not the smoothest fielder around so DH would suit him just fine.

Since Castro is the best arm in the Sox minors, and that's not saying much considering how crappy their system is, he'd have gone considered a part of the deal. However, I do think Billy Beane would be more interested in a young major league ready reliever that's under team control for a few years - I'm thinking someone like Nate Jones. Viciedo and Jones for Young and some low C potential prospect to fill out the deal and add minor league depth.

                  I don't like Castro...ask for Nestor Molina, he'd kill it in a pitcher's park

The AI just traded Jason Vargas from the Mariners to the Cardinals for Kyle McClellan and Carlos Beltran. I really hope lopsided trades like this are a thing of the past with the reworked franchise mode.

Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe has speculated that maybe the Sox would send a package of Aceves/Salty or maybe another lefty reliever in return for Justin Smoak

^ I know that, but I was asking if you guys think that type of package would work in the game because I am thinking of doing a Smoak reclamation project and giving him a year in Pawtucket and seeing where he stands after that, think Aceves straight up for him would work because Aceves is a hot head and even though there's no rating for that I'd like to move him

With the current Mariners lineup (Ibanez, Morales, Morse, Bay) and no room for Smoak, I definitely think Mr.Z would jump on an offer of Salty and Aceves

okay, so should I ask for anything else in return, or just a straight up trade for Smoak sending Aceves and Salty to Seattle
