We Royals might be interested in assisting you at this time. We are looking to possibly unload both Frenchy and Bruce Chen, as these two are definitely vets and may be of assistance to you we shall give you the first opportunity at them before offering them elsewhere.

In order to know what I'm working with here can I get what my record is in your world as well as the stats for the two guys I've mentioned here. Any other info you feel needed please attach here as well, thanks in advance.

    Dayton,

Just recieved you're email. I think as an organization we are going to have to pass on Chen. Our pitching staff is pretty set at the Major League level, we are solid 1-4 and have good youg players to be our 5. Francour on the other hand may be a great role player for our team and give us a good solid fill in and pinch hitter. What are you looking for to trade for him?

    Regards,
    Mike Rizzo

Just thought I should mention after a lot of thought I may restart my franchise once the new draft rosters come out. Therefore, if it's with the Pirates I will not be remaking the trades I have already negotiated. Also, I might do it with the Phillies instead given the fact I'm the Phillies GM

EDIT: I hope this wasn't too off topic, I just thought it would be worth mentioning. I want to try and do a rebuilding project, but I have been a bit conflicted with what team I want to franchise with since I'm really the only rep not franchising with my team.

Yeah, the main reason I wanted to restart though was just because I traded away some key pieces to the Pirates' organization and I really should have tried to keep the core team together. However, I do also want to do one with the Phillies since I'm their rep.

Yeah thats why im restarting. I should be playing with the nationals. and they are my favorite national league team. Im a Red Sox guy so I never do a franchise with them because its never hard. Nationals are a perfect balance of everything for me

I guess I'll just make one with my Phillies once the draft rosters come out. Hopefully they come out soon! Gonna miss my Pirates though... but I guess it's better to be playing with the Phillies. Unfortunately it won't be the rebuilding process I was looking for though.

If you choose the Pirates, you get Mark Appel.... If you choose the Phillies, you've got some very interesting pieces to trade... Namely one starting pitcher.... /epic segway/

                  Hi there!

As our search for a starter continues, we've decided to look at Cole Hamels. We feel he could be a useful pitcher for us, along with Romero and Morrow. He have a very nice farm system we're willing to dip into. OOC: I'm waiting for Scott's ZiPS rosters with draft picks, so I haven't started this yet. So, for all intensive purposes, it's still the offseason. Like it's the Winter Meetings, or something...

                  How would you like;
Aideny Hechavarria (C currently, high A potential)
Deck McGuire (C currently, mid B potential)
Chad Jenkins ( C currently, High C potential)

                  FOR

                  Cole Hamels

I've seen Hechavarria turn into a complete surperstar before. McGuire's a dependable innings eater. Jenkins is a hit or miss prospect.

Thank you for your response in advance.

                    RE: Cole Hamels

That was quite the epic segway . We like the offer, but we want to try and get the most out of Hamels that we possibly can, meaning we don't want to give him up unless we are completely out of the race by the deadline. How about you contact us again somewhere near June or July with our record and where we stand in the division and we can go from there.

                    Respectfully,
                    THE Philadelphia Phillies

OOC: I hope that isn't too long of a wait, but Hamels is a pretty highly regarded pitcher in Philly, and the only way they would realistically give him up is if they're out of the race by Mid-June or early July. The offer is intriguing, and if we are out of the race by then that may be one we can accept. Again, I'm sorry but we can't really negotiate a deal with Hamels before the season even starts.

OK, don't worry about it. What exactly did like about the deal? Cause I'm negotiating for a few other guys, so I'm going to be giving up A prospects. Should I make a point of hanging onto these guys?

Well I really like Hechevarria then only problem is the only real place they could put him would be 3rd with Rollins contract. I like McGuire too, but in all honestly I might want Rasmus too. Hamels is a pretty elite level pitcher and I think 2 A's would be good, and maybe McGuire as well. But this is all just early negotiations, the only player in the initial deal that really piqued my interest was Hechevarria

Rasmus is possible, but I'd want Phillipe Aumont and something else. I REALLY REALLY REALLY rake with Rasmus, something about his stance.... Would you like Snider, instead? He's had 4 straight years of 20+ homers and just hit .300 for me in my current chise. And I've made a billion home run robbing catches with him haha. I'll definitely keep Hechavarria, though.

Also, if you'd rather a catcher than a pitcher, how about Carlos Perez instead of McGuire or Jenkins. Contact hitting catcher, great glove, calls a very good game. How about:

                          Hechavarria
                          Perez/McGuire/Snider

Snider could be possible and Perez is intriguing but we may not need him since we already have Valle, but Perez could easily be an upgrade from Valle as well. Any chance you would throw in Stroman instead?

Very unlikely. I'd love to throw in Cordero though. I'd even drive him to the airport.

Jokes aside, he's good in the game. But I'm very excited about Stroman, he's got Chris Sale potential. I would like to keep him.

I'd have to think about Cordero. Of course, these negotiations are just for the chance the Phillies are out of the race by July, but I think I'd rather have Santos than Codero, but Cordero could be possible
