        Can anyone expand in detail upon the new additions to the Fast Forward Option that we have while playing a game?

          Sure.

          Knight actually broke it down earlier, but I'll recap.

          Once you hit fast-forward, you get taken to what's essentially the pause menu. From there, a "sportcast manager" of sorts pops up on the screen where they play results are written up in text form and visually demonstrated to you on a diamond icon.

          At that point, you can set the fast-forwarding to I believe to be two settings. One that's pretty quick, and another that's slower.

          If you set it to the slower one (I believe it's called "slow"), you'll have enough time to resume the game after a batter or so.

          This is a wonderful addition for those that hated the CPU making substitution changes for them between innings.

            So, being that I only pitch in my franchise games and I do not hit, I can access this new fast forward option every inning (1-9 and extra innings) and I can make sure that the computer never automatically removes my pitcher or does any funky defensive substitutions?

            If so, that is great to hear!!

              Sorry. It's actually three fast-forward settings. The slowest being called "slow" and the fastest being the preset called "fast."

                Is it correct that you can enter and exit the new fast forward simulation screen at will? So, it can be done every inning or it can be used to play an entire game?

                  My memory is not rock solid on this, but this might work slightly differently in RTTS and a regular game... but I guess you are asking for the regular gameplay, for which I think you can go in and out the gameplay pretty much at will (though not per pitch... per at bat). I'm not entirely sure if you can set a stopping point (like fast forward to next (half) inning, to the end of the game... etc. but I believe I could. Knight may know.

                  There's also a button (O) to entirely skip the sim watch to the next end point... it was in RTTS but didn't try in regular gameplay.

                      What were your guys' overall feeling/opinion of base stealing/leadoffs? Does there seem to be some strategy involved or is it still a "random roll of the dice" when it comes to pickoffs?

                      I still would love to see the ability as a pitcher to be able to manually look over at the runner and watch him in an effort to hold him close to the bag.

                      Consequently, does the AI do a better job at varying how long he holds the ball with a base stealer on base in an effort to keep from being timed?

                              Nothing has really changed here. This section of the game is in need of some attention, it is way too random.
