That's actually how the manager hook slider is supposed to work though.

Part of the problem is it isn't coded to take into pitchers or managers separately in their logic(which is what seanjeezy is alluding to) and tendencies would be great for that.

From what I've experienced, the manager hook works fine... Except when a pitcher hasn't given up any runs. I was actually playing a game last night where I gave up 7 runs by the 2nd inning, and the opposing pitcher was shutting me out, although I was putting up a fight and had worked his pitch count to 104 after the 6th inning. Bear in mind, this was an AA game so overall pitcher's stamina is much lower, so he literally had zero stamina going into the 7th. Anyway, he comes back out for the 7th and I promptly get two hits to lead off the inning. There are a couple things wrong with this situation - The first is the starting pitcher coming back out with 100+ pitches in the 7th inning of a blowout. The second is the manager leaving him in not only after the first hit, but the second hit as well, and by that time he had over 115 pitches. My next batter hits a dinger after a seven pitch at-bat, which finally prompts the manager to pull the starter.

The issue here is that If would've scored at least 1 run earlier in the game, the SP would not have seen the 7th inning. The logic when a shutout is in progress is far too strong IMO.

Does Dustin Ackley finally have his beard in this year's version of the game.

I couldn't stand to even play last year's game as Ackley looked like a 12 year old every time he batted.

That's kind of what I meant in regards to individual pitchers and managers in terms of some sort of tendency.

He's already shown he's open to taking our suggestions....as he's tied in the RP appearances to the slider for simmed games(it was not previous to last year)...and the vs. LHP vs. RHP A.I. for this year.

FreezeTime, could you be kindly enough to check on Todd Frazier and see if his face was updated. In '12 he looks pretty bad and didnt look like him.

Last question and this one is kind of a important one.

In one of the interviews Russell said that CPU AI logic for pitchers has been improved. Can you ask Russell if this means the CPU will finally not leave a starting pitcher in the game for longer then he needs to be?

He told me that has to deal with the lefty righty matchups for logic. He also told me that Sabathia won't be in there for that many pitches anymore and that all should be redone and better.

I'm late but I'm with tnixen on this. I've seen way too many games where the pitcher was left out there way past his expiration date. I've won so many games by rallying against a tired pitcher. I remember just a few weeks ago I loaded the bases with a few consecutive hit/walks, and even got a run forced in via walk... pitcher was still there.

a 3-0 score and I load the bases against an exhausted SP in later innings, and he's left out there? That stuff just isn't happening frequently in real life, especially if the team is relevant.

I've noticed that it's slightly easier for a tired pitcher to pitch - both CPU and human - when his confidence meter is full? I think this is at the root of the problem. Perhaps Pitcher Confidence is involved in the algorithm somehow, and the practically-dead pitcher is left out there because his confidence is full? Perhaps if stamina's role in the formula was enhanced it would produce a more realistic result.

Freeze, what type of replays did you see on the Vita? Can you ask what type of visual enhancements (may be to broad, which i understand) they worked on this year? Will Vita users get end of game celebrations as well, not just end of game screen? I hated winning the game with a walk off and then it just ended.

He told me there are a few replays and celebrations but did not go into detail and yes, there have been visual enhancements.

2. Do we finally get to hear the National Anthem in full before the start of every game?

3. Are the starting lineups Presented in a different way? Does the announcers say every players name?

4. Has the in game ticker changed in anyway as far as looks or stats?

5. Do umpires wear jackets for games played in Rain and or Cold weather?
Like post season games in the northeast?

6. In post season games does the top scorebug have info like "NLCS Game 3" Or any other kind series info like maybe "SF Leads 2-1" for example?

Any chance you could take a screenshot of the new inbetween inning batter due up overlay?

Freeze... Can you play with "Timed" batting today and let me know if you see improved hit variety off the bat this year like more high choppers, little dribblers and Bermuda triangle singles because last year it seemed like everything was either fouled off weakly or hit hard unless you used Zone

Also can you talk about the improvements to Pulse pitching and if you can control velocity now and how it works?

Freeze, can you delve into Franchise any yet, particularly Player Budgets and how they compare to reality. Mainly, I want to make sure that even though I have 80 mil for player budgets that B.J. Upton isn't signed for $3m/year. Basically, I want to know if they are comparatively even.

He said it's pretty much the same as last year.

Can you vary the "effort" with Pulse pitching though?
