Thanks, I went ahead and took Parra... At the allstar break he's hitting .299/.380/.410 with 3hr and 35RBI's so I'm extremely happy with this pickup...

Now I wish to make another move, at the allstar break obviously... I am contending, however Nathan has been lights out this year, along with my entire bullpen, and I'd really like to move him while his value is a bit higher, he's 0-0 0.73ERA with 25 saves and 29K's... I'd prefer to trade him to an NL team, pretty much all are contending except the mets, cubs and brewers... The Phillies are 5GB in the wildcard everyone else is either winning their division or less than 5GB if the wild card... I'd like an outfield prospect and/or a young bullpen arm (left or right) that throws good heat... Any ideas on where I could send Nathan???

Maybe to the Reds? In every franchise I've done they're always fighting with the Cards for their division, and it's usually decided by a couple games, so adding Nathan could really help put them over the top. If Nathan keeps his form he could be there closer, and they could use Chapman as a setup man (or the other way around). He's valued at a low B, but with the way he's performing you may be able to get a little more for him. Are you looking to fill a certain position?

        Detroit for a low B and a high C.

Corner OF is probably my biggest need, I don't plan on resigning murphy and Cruz isn't getting any younger and beside Leonys Martin I have no great OF prospects, other than that I wouldn't mind a good hard throwing lefty SP or RP prespect...

I like Shotts but I'd really prefer a lefty pitcher... I could maybe add RP Matt Hoffman (24yo, Low C) instead but id like you guys to take a look at these first... I would consider adding pieces on my end to make some I these work...

Nathan to the braves for CF Matt Lipka (21yo, Low B) and RP Luis Avilan (23yo, High C)

Nathan to white sox for CF Trayce Thompson (22yo, mid-high B) and RP Santos Rodriguez (25yo, mid C)... I would have to add something to this I think...

My first preference would be the braves trade, then the sox but I will take the tigers deal if I can't work out one with either of the others... Thoughts???

EDIT: the braves have also traded away Venters in my franchise and Walden and O'Flaherty aren't having spectacular season...

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I just finished the trade deadline with my Rockies.

I've already done these trades but I need some feedback for realism (I've included the approximate stats I wrote down last time I played):

EY Jr. (.275/.340/.400 w/ 43 steals) to Yankees for P Dellin Betances (struggling in AAA, will be converted to power reliever)

Jon Garland (3.70 ERA 15 starts) and Chris Nelson (.290/.345/.453 in 330 At Bats 11HR/48RBI to Phillies for P Phillippe Aumont (Idk what he started as but was downgraded to C potential)

De La Rosa (Low 4 ERA but has been healthy all year and averaging about 8 K/9) + Cuddyer (Typical .280/.350/.450 ish slash line for him) to Tigers for P Casey Crosby (Lit up in AAA and MLB will be sent down to A ball for conversion into reliever)

Tyler Colvin (.250/.338/.525, 17HR 49RBI in about 300 AB's) to Giants for P Heath Hembree

I know this last deal probably isn't very realistic but a few things to consider: The Giants approached meal and this was the most fair deal I was offered all season, The Giants are in my division so they must overpay, They badly needed a 1B and a lefty power bat (Belt traded), There entire bullpen has been at the very least solid so Hembree doesn't really have a logical fit (Romo particularly lights out), and Colvin has been my best hitter all season (which might not be saying much)

Any thoughts on any of these deals? Did I rip off the computer or was I at least close to fair/realistic?

Note: If you are concerned about team needs I looked at all lineups, rotations + disabled list to see where teams needed other players

The Hembree deal is the one I think is most far ok. It'd be alright if you added another high C IMO.

EY Jr for Betances gave me a big old huh when I read it at first but if Dellin was struggling that bad and Young fills an obvious need with the Yankees, I guess it alright. You've certainly kept him busy on the base paths

I like the deal with De La Rosa and Cuddy for Crosby. Straight salary dump for you and a good prospect coming back!

Hey fellas, I have a franchise with Boston and the Braves. What would it take for me to get 3B Sano from the Twins with each Franchise? I was thinking Middlebrooks and SP Webster I believe is called with Boston and Braves I have no idea what to give lol.. Thanks for the help

Yeah Middlebrooks and Webster to the Twins sounds like a nice haul for them.

For the Braves...hmm...Beachy/Minor/Teheran plus C.Betancourt maybe

Trade Deadline nearing in my Mariners franchise, and we're sitting at 41-60, so all hope has been lost. I have two questions:

1st question: I may be looking to go ahead and trade Morales to someone contending that may want him, and the Giants (tied for 2nd, and could use someone like Morales at that position because Belt is struggling somewhat at the plate) offered me this trade:

SS Carlos Correa (18 yrs old, A-POT)

                            for

                            1B Kendrys Morales

I understand I am getting too much out of this, but what would I have to add in to make this deal fair?

2nd question: Mike Morse in 2nd in the MVP race at this point in the season batting .325 with 28 HR, 66 RBI in 326 AB. I'm more than likely going to keep him, but how much does his value increase due to the season he is having?

I'd say Correa's untouchable. Especially on the Giants, who don't have much of a shortstop except him. Also, he's a great young shortstop with enormous potential.

I wouldn't say Morse's value would increase by a lot, but you might be able to grab another one or two prospects with him.
