I also thought of Eric Young Jr.

He has insane speed, but his fielding is very iffy. He was also DFA'd so he would be a very realistic option depending on if he is on the Rockies or Mets in your rosters.

The REASON why I asked was because like the other dude said long as I am happy with my franchise ..then yeah. But just wondering what some of your baseball dudes think about a potential trade that's all. Like in real life what Toronto would gave up to Miami would probably be the asking price for Kershaw alone. How about this for an example .. encarcion moved to third, Romero/morrow, maybe a lower prospect like Nolan, or stroman ? Unfortunately I'd do a 8 for 1 trade if I could .. but you know video games..

It's possible to do an 8-1 trade in this game. And what we gave up to Miami was Marisnick, Nicolino, Alvarez, Escobar, DeSclafani, and Mathis. 3 of those guys have no value.

Marisnick has a hugely questionable hit tool.

Nicolino doesn't have the stuff to be a #2 and was thought of as the least of the big 3.

Alvarez is Mark Buehrle without the control. He's basically Esmil Rogers.

So no, that's not enough for Kershaw

Bold 1 - Nolin and Stroman are actually highly regarded guys.

Bold 2 - We've covered this about 10 times in this thread, but it's such a large thread that even with the search feature it may be tough to dredge up...That said, what you can do is separate the 8 for 1 deal into 3 separate trades. In the first trade, deal 3 of your prospects for the guy you want. In the second trade, send 3 more prospects for their worst minor league scrub. Repeat this again sending 2 players this time for yet another scrub. That will leave you with the guy you wanted and 2 scrubs. That will leave them with all 8 prospects and minus 2 scrubs.

Now if you want to take this even further, with 30-team control, you can simply release the scrubs you took in the deal, and have their original team sign them back up. So the net deal is 8 for 1. It just would take a little finagling. I do agree it would be nice if the trade window is ever expanded to > 3 slots...I wonder if it would be too much for the AI to process, though on the next-gen, I couldn't imagine that being true.

Yo Totte, can you fix this? You're much better at formatting than I am.

That's because he's not on the 40 man roster or on Keith Law's top 100 prospect list heading into this season but of course, I can add him . We talking two high C's?

Need some help guys as I'm starting up my long awaited Marlins 'chise tonight

The Marlins have, just like you know, pretty much to a non existing budget. The players on the roster are basically rookies (Fernandez, Ozuna etc) or veterans off the scrap heap (Matt Diaz, Austin Kearns etc). Spinning off more on that latter subject, could you guys help me name a few players I can target in the same mold. Thinking guys that haven't produced properly over the last years, MiLB vets or players close to being the 26th man on a major league roster. Some guys on my list so far is Chris Capuano, Carlos Peguero, Justin Germano, Matt LaPorta, Lou Marson, Jason Donald, Daric Barton, Ryan Sweeney, Brandon Wood and so on.

Appreciate any input on guys to target during spring to make minor trades for prior to Opening Day.
