Would they also want an OF like Snider or Pressley or something also? Would they want a SS back ala Barmes, McDonald, Jordy Mercer? I just don't know OAK that well. I think this leaves them with Sogard and Grant Green at SS? Oh, and their int'l signing, Iwakuma? I don't recall his name.
Pittsburgh getting ROBBED up in here. Alvarez covers Reddick by himself, and James Taillon is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more valuable than Doolittle + Lowrie.

What do you think the Yankees would have to give up to get Josh Thole from the Blue Jays? He's worth a high and mid C. I need to get rid of a out fielder so I was thinking of involving Ben Francisco in the trade. Any ideas?

Considering how Francisco was with the Jays last year before being DFA'd (?) I don't they they'd want him back up north. Something along the lines of Tyler Austin or Zoilo Almonte will work better if you're looking to she'd an OF'er. Maybe Melky Mesa...

Jays don't need an OF. Give us Romine and Joba.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Alright just throwing this out there to get an opinion as I'm not sure if I would even want to go through with this. Basically I can't hit with Rizzo so I was hoping to do a trade with The Phillies.

                Cubs get:
                Dominic Brown
                Ryan Howard

                Phillies get:
                Anthony Rizzo
                Low B/High C prospect.

I know Howard is on the decline but if I could get 1 more season out of him I would be happy as I have someone close to being ready for the majors.

I am not at home right now so I couldn't tell you the standings or their stats. I know Rizzo is batting around .260 with 6 hrs and I'm at mid June.

                Thanks

You can get a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT more than that for Rizzo.

Curious if this is fair, and still debating if I want to pull it off if it is, since it's a heavy blow to my bullpen. Going for 100% realism:

                    I send:
                    Joel Peralta (TB):

                    MLB Stats: 40.2 IP, 42G/40 K's, 1.55 ERA, .193 AVG, .98 WHIP

He's reliable, good, and is basically under team control for 4 more years at 3 million or so, per season.

                    for
                    Chase Anderson (D Backs):

                    AAA Stats: 0-6, 55.2 IP/45 Ks, 6.47 ERA, .300 AVG, 1.72 WHIP

I went to HS with him in real life, so maybe I'm a little biased, but he's got great stuff, just needs to fight off the injury bug. I see him as a power relief pitcher, maybe will keep in the rotation to start the 2014 season. A lot of my SP prospects are struggling, so he does have a shot.

                    +

                    Adam Eaton (D Backs)

MLB Stats: .262 AVG, .356 OBP, 14 RBIs in 248 ABs.

I believe he has been hurt all season IRL, so I would call it a PTBNL. I like his potential as a CF with Dez shifting to LF, where Joyce is kicked to DH or situational.

Fair? I'm basically out of it this season, but the Dbacks are still in the mix. They have a couple RPs struggling.

Eaton is way more valuable than Peralta. Way, way, way more valuable.

I can see Peralta for Anderson since Peralta is performing so well. But Eaton is a hard no from the Dbacks

That is of great help as I figure I'm always overrating my guys. Would the same be said for Pollock as well, as far as being untouchable? The Diamondbacks are loaded with talent so it's hard to find a need for them. I will probably end up looking elsewhere.

I like Jennings in LF, Myers in RF, but want to find a realistic CF in that 23-26 age range who is cost-controlled, brings a little speed, and can play some D.

If I can't find anyone then I guess I'll have to count on Joyce to stay healthy and produce until Mahtook is ready. He seems to be my only OF near-MLB ready, to fill the LF position. Maybe that is the most realistic move the Rays would make anyways, haha.

Edit: Any trade gets a free Josh Sale.

Peralta and Sale for Anderson and Ollie Linton (speedy CF if he's in your roster set)

Peralta and Anderson is a straight up deal value wise so it's gotta be Sale for that other X player
