Ok so was looking at some young and not all star level shortstops and ran into these two:
Ruben Tejada from the Mets and Joe Panik from the Giants. I know Ruben is worth a Mid C but the other guy wasn't on the spreadsheet so don't know his worth. What would be a good trade for them? Just so I know when ever I decide who to go for. I'm playing as the Yankees.Currently Playing:

Lawrie + Reyes + Sanchez + Osuna + Stroman for Kershaw + Ethier + Hanley? It's obviously an insane price"Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I agree, i was just curious. I thought Taillon was a good start, and Polanco was like, well, I am still listening, then lost all intrigue. IF they actually trade Stanton, I don't think they could get full value for him though either. We'll probably be hearing about Stanton rumors for the next few years ala JUpton.
How do you feel about these? No real stats, I just feel about Pedro Alvarez like AC feels about JPA. I would like to keep it realistic even if we are talking about a rare April movement.
CWS CGillaspie for C D'Arnaud & A Dickerson
OAK Lowrie & Doolittle for PAlvarez & fringy high-C SP prospect
The 2nd one is not bad either, but I'd like it better if the A's had not just acquired Jed Lowrie in the offseason before this year. I doubt they'd deal for him just to spin him off right away, so that kills the realism for me.
In real life maybe...but in my franchise I(and they) made off pretty well...They were looking for a 2B and Murph (believe it or not) was leading the league in a lot of catigories...with Valdespin hitting well enough off the bench I plopped him into the 2b starting spot...Why they were looking for a C I don't know, but it gave me a reason to call up D'Arnaud(which I was looking to do)and Hawkins was a throw in so I could recall Famila....Ethier had become expendable to them(do to Puig-much like real life)and they tossed in Hanley as I was looking for a SS....
The KC trade might seem a little "meh" but I had promoted Wheeler and Montero and Marcum had zero value to me...KC was looking for a SP so I tossed em there way(along with Aardsma as a throw in)Herrera had 30+ip and an era under 1.00....
Both were offered to me and not vice verca(except I threw Hawkins into the LA deal)....
In my franchise world, they made sense for both teams
Accepting the cpu's broken trade logic is not any better than proposing a lopsided deal yourself!
To make the 2nd deal work, the Dodgers would have to be wayyyyyy out of the playoff picture in July. They wouldn't fill a hole at 2B just to open up another at SS/3B by losing Hanley. Not to mention that the Mets adding that much salary is not realistic (Bernie Madoff).

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Good thing its just a video game and I dont put too much stock into it then
Truth be told, I dont really care about fair and not fair in video game land(that being said if I got offered Kershaw for a single A 1b w/ d potential I would not accept it)as long as it makes sense for both sides(within my video games franchise mode)then I'm happy. In both cases it did.Let's Go Mets!!!Comment

I didnt ask anything actually....I personally dont care what anyone else thinks of what I do in my own game....this is a trade DISCUSSION thread...I simply posted a couple trades that I had made and everyone else started discussing....People are entitled to their own opinions, I was just simply stating(within the discussion on said discussion thread)that it doesnt matter to me if people think its fair or not...but for the record I never asked anyones thoughts or opinions on them.Let's Go Mets!!!Comment

Hmm I feel like your either a-misunderstanding me or b-putting words in my mouth. Again, I never said I didnt expect any comments...positive or negative...in fact quite the opposite...I was simply stating that when someone didnt think it was a completely fair trade that the "fairness" didnt personally matter to me(in the instance that we are talking about)...because with the stats these guys had in my franchise and the needs of the teams it made sense.....again, for the record, I never said I didnt want or expect anyones opinion.Let's Go Mets!!!Comment
