Yeah, would most likely have to include Walker AND Hultzen, most likely... Along with Franklin and a couple other prospects...Comment

You just separate them out into two trades. So he'd offer 3 of those people for Stanton and then offer the other two for the marlins worst prospect and just release himComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Going to try to rebuild the Cubs. In 2013 I'll try to trade away Garza, Soriano, and Marmol. I'm also open to parting with Barney, Samardzija and Edwin Jackson (might wait 'til 2014 to trade away Jackson since they just signed him). I have a few targets in mind, was wondering if these looked okay for a package built around Garza. This will also depend of course on how things look in July, but assuming these teams are competing and everyone is performing at expected levels, this is what I'm looking at:
(In order of preference)
Rangers
SP Martin Perez & SP Cody Buckel
Diamondbacks
OF Adam Eaton, SP David Holmberg & C Michael Perez
Blue Jays
Two of: SP Sean Nolin, SP Daniel Norris, C AJ Jiminez
Braves
Two of: SP Lucas Sims, SP Sean Gilmartin, SP Cody Martin
Rockies
SP Tyler Matzek & SP Tyler Anderson
This could change based on the OSFM rosters. According to the spreadsheet, I think Garza is worth around 2 high B's and I'm certainly not opposed to adding Barney or maybe even Samardzija depending on what I'm getting back. Any of these look way off?Last edited by sink4ever; 03-18-2013, 12:37 PM.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Whoever suggested Fister being dealt: no, just no. He is a talented, controllable arm (making 4M in 2013, then has 2 more Arbitration years before he hits FA in 2016) who could become highly valuable in a couple years when Scherzer bolts for the cash or when the management won't give in to Verlander (I would hope neither happens, although if one HAD to happen...Max better be the casualty)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:
