Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Can you guys give me some feedback on this one?
Matt Garza: 6-7 3.74 ERA to the Orioles for E. Rodriguez and Delmonico/Schoop.
Or Scott Baker 7-8 3.43 ERA for Jair Jurrjens and Ryan flaherty
The Orioles are contending. And in need of pitching.Last edited by Alfonsori; 03-21-2013, 04:23 PM.Chicago Cubs

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Well, I may make a few trades near the trade deadline. I will see what my offers are. Also, I do plan on trading Carlos Pena and possibly Bud Norris. I will hope to get back a major league pitcher and a prospect for Norris but not sure if that will happen. May just have to get a few prospects for him.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Great thread!! Just found it today at work so backreading on my phone.....will take a better look at spreadsheet when I get home but wanted to throw this out and see if anyone anted to chime in. Looking for a young middle infielder for my Tigers (ss preferably). I jus don't like Peralta but doubt I can use him for much but Castellanos will be dealt so he would be my base for obtaining one......any suggestions where to start? Simmons-Atl?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If you are trying to be realistic, then there is not a lot out there to be had. The position is so scarce. Maybe someone from the Rangers not named Andrus or Profar. Jordy Mercer or Chase d'Arnaud could probably be had. Oh, and Crawford is a free agent after this year so that could be a possibility mid-season.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok, looking for input on a couple trades I'd like to make. Season 3, Astros franchise. I'm contending for the last WC spot in June, also contending for my division.
First trade:
Astros send:
SP Freddie Lovett 22y/o, 71 ovr, A pot
SS Carlos Correa 20y/o, 68 ovr, A pot
SP Bud Norris 29 y/o, 87 ovr, B pot 5-5, 5.05 ERA, 62.1 IP, 44 SO, 26 BB
Marlins send:
SP Jacob Turner 23 y/o, 87 ovr, A pot 6-4, 4.52 ERA, 63.2 IP, 23 SO, 19 BB
All 3 of these players will instantly be starting in Miami, their roster is horrendous! They have 5 players 80 ovr or better. There are in now way contending for a WC spot even within 3 seasons.
Second Trade:
Astros Send:
2B Delino De Shields 22 y/o, 76 ovr, A pot, .260 avg, 3 HR, 17 RBI, .337 OBP, 177 AB, 18 BB, 24 SO, 7 SB (AAA)
1B Alfonso Nieves 18 y/o, 49 ovr, A pot, .294 avg, 3 HR, 28 RBI, .337 OBP, 170 AB, 12 BB, 23 SO, 2 SB (AAA)
SP Derek Mattson 23 y/o, 64 ovr, A pot, 3-2, 3.96 ERA, 61.1 IP, 27 SO, 31 BB (AA)
SP Alex White 26 y/o, 72 ovr, B pot, 4-5, 4.20 ERA, 60 IP, 35 SO, 19 BB (AAA)
Dodgers Send:
SP Felix Hernandez 28 y/o, 99 ovr, A pot, 6-3, 3.82 ERA, 73 IP, 54 SO, 26 BB
Delino will be an instant starter at the MLB level for LA. White will likely be a MLB starter in his 2nd or 3rd season in LA. The Dodgers could be contenders but they've lacked consistency, and Felix is a large contract for them to carry, 6 years, over $17m the last 3 years of the deal.
Edit: The Dodgers have 3 SP's over 90 ovr, so I don't think they'll greatly miss Felix.Last edited by Shibito; 03-22-2013, 11:01 AM.Comment
