CHC send Javier Baez (unsure of rating but obviously at least A), Carlos Marmol (-C) and Alfonso Soriano (-B/+C) to
DET for Nick Castellanos (-A/mid B), Andy Dirks (-B/+C), Quentin Berry (+C) and Casey Crosby (again unsure but B area?)

Please critique deal. I have my opinions on it obviously but I want to see what is said.
Definitely have to take Baez and castellanos out of the deal. Cubs wouldn't trade him. You could make a deal for Soriano but I would say it would be something like Drew Smyly and a C to get him

Shelby Miller OR Rosenthal OR Carlos Martinez + Jenkins + Seth Maness + Matt Adams for Tulo. Is that enough to get him?

Like I said this is more for the sake of me getting a better understanding of the trade values. Now for my thoughts....yes you know I am Det, but no doubt in my mind if I were Cubs I wouldn't take this deal however this was based of a few things so please tell me where my rationale went wrong. Both Dirks and Soriano require the same trade value to obtain then factor in Berry and Marmol and based on spread Berry has more value? Then factor in the salary and Det is in trouble obviously but Cubs just unloaded a ton (actually the only reason I even had Marmol in the deal was his negative impact) Then there's the other three which I considered a two for one deal with Cast/Crosby.....but you seperated the top two prospects alone and then all the others don't add to Soriano? Like I told you in PM I suck at this, cause I actually thought that was the only area of this deal that was solid for Cubs....outside of his influence which has no bearing in a video game. I am gonna figure all this out tho....lol

Just fyi.....I went with Dirks to help replace OF. While Cubs are young period, I figured the depth from offering two OF with Berry (which according to spreadsheet should satisfy your second C) would allow for them to nurture their young prospects a bit. But this may be where I am getting confused on spreadsheet. Dirks value on there is actually same as Smyly, yet Smyly is rated way higher? So as I look for offer, I went with Dirks figuring they needed the depth at OF more so than SP? Is my logic flawed here too?

Close, but I'd say more along the lines of:

            RHP Shelby Miller
            RHP Trevor Rosenthal
            1B Matt Adams

Have to entice Colorado to move him (assuming you're in 2013) and two of STLs top three pitching prospects along with a power hitting 1B prospect would do it.

So I'm starting a Mets franchise when the rosters come out and I'm looking to acquire a speed threat and an top tier outfielder without giving up wheeler and d'arnaud. I'm wondering what Cargo's and Elvis Andrus value's are. Is it high B's low A's etc

              Thanks

Would Ricky Romero still command a high B and C now he is an A baller?

Would like to acquire him and Rasmus for the royals or Houston once I decide who I'm rolling with.

Luke Gregerson for a B prospect sound good? I'm thinking Levi Michael as his current team, the Cubs, are short on SS prospects in 2015
No, that's too much for Gregerson.

Honestly, Soriano's more valuable than Dirks, imho. I don't think I did the DET portion of the spreadsheet, but if I did, I'm not sure if I did it well. Dirks is a platoon player. Soriano's a high quality OF. But, even if Soriano = everyone else, Baez is much, much, much more valuable than Castallenos.

Apologies for the double post, but does anyone have a good idea for a Buehrle trade, all things neutral? Two mid B's, I'm looking for one SP prospect in the higher levels and one quality hitter in the lower minors. I'm stumped atm.

I don't know his overall or potential, but how about Cody Buckel of the rangers for the sp prospect.

He'd work, but I'm not sure if the Rangers really have any hitters in the lower minors. Granted, Luis Sardinas could work, but I don't think he's a mid B.

Really can't help you right now because i don't know anyone's potential but maybe Jorge Alfaro? I really like Lewis Brinson as a prospect, but he just got drafted so it probably wouldnt be realistic to trade for him this early.

Also who is more likely to get traded, Drew Stubbs or Tony Campana. Want a speedy OF for my mets chise. Both of these players were acquired during the offseason, but they are not highly regarded of.I still like stubbs potential, he just needs to cut down on the K's.

My opinion exactly on Dirks.....he is a platoon OF which makes it hard for me to understand why he is so valuable. So basically my trade was more of a paper trade without factoring in any common sense. But seriously you can't blame me for trying to get B-/mid C out of a guy that someone else believes hes worth even if I rank him as closer to a C+ at best.....right?

Alfaro's hit tool... eh, I'm not high on it. Haven't heard of Brinson.

Campagna, he was just DFA'd, but either could be moved in a second.

I'm changing his value to high C, highest. If I did DET's values, which I'm not sure I did, then I did it at the beginning of the offseason, when I figured he'd be getting an every day role.
