Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok whats a good trade to get RF Josh Reddick away from the Athletics?
Or Justin Upton from the Braves.
OR Giancarlo Stanton from the Marlins ( since they are in full rebuild mode)?
Im asking in general what would i need a 90 something SP or what would be a good acceptable offer for any of those players? thanksLast edited by jfinger2013; 03-26-2013, 11:19 AM.Only thing in sports that matters is Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks .

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ok im thinking of making this trade tell me whether or not it would be fair.
I am not trying to be realistic just trying to be fair. Once again not a realistic trade but a fair trade.
Marlins have basically gotten rid of all their good players for young developing players. I mean they only have 3-5 players with a +80 overall. But they do have the young stud 93ovr Giancarlo Stanton age 23 with A plus potential. and i want him on my cubs because i need a hard hitting outfielder.
So would this be a fair trade for him?
Cubs get: RF Giancarlo Stanton age 23, 93ovr, A potential
Marlins get: RF Desmond Jennings age 26, 80ovr, A potential. CF Gerardo Parra ( Gold Glove winner 2011) age25 , 84ovr, B potential and SP Patrick Corbin age23, 82ovr, B potential
I think this is a good trade because for one superstar player they get 3 good young players they may one day be great. nd each of the three players automatically become the best at there respective positions.
Desmond Jennings replaces Stanton very nicely and still has that good potential their numbers last year were close also with D.J 505AB 124H 13HRs 47RBI .246avg
Stanton had 449AB 130H 37HR 86RBI .290avg
I know stantons numbers are way better but jennings is close n for everything they get back i feel it is a good deal. Plus P.Corbin is only 23 and immediately becomes the team's ACE
The only way i think i could make it better is if i change the SP to either J.Smardzija 88ovr age 28, Homer Bailey age 26 87ovr, Erasmo Ramirez age 22 ovr 87, Alex Cobb age 25 ovr 86, they all have B potential
or Jamie Garcia age 26 overall 86 with A potential.
I could also take one of those outfielders out and give them my top 50 prospect 3B Travis Le Roy age 23, 73ovr, A potential.
Someone please tell me what would be a good combination of players that would make it a fair trade?
Once again im not trying to be realistic just fair thanks for the helpOnly thing in sports that matters is Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks .

Not highly familiar with the Cubs roster, but it looks like you've added a lot of players already so IDK what all you have to offer.Comment

I have RF Desmond Jennings age26 80ovr A potential
SP Jamie Garcia age26 86ovr A potential
and Top 50 prospect 3B age23 73ovr A potential
so would those 3A's work for Stanton.Only thing in sports that matters is Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, and Blackhawks .

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I never actually realised this so thank you!
One question though.....how many tiers are there? Seems like there are more than 3?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I think there's about 10 tiers per potential grade. I don't know how others do it, but for me the highest 3 are "High", the next 4 are "Mid" and the last 3 are "Low" (roughly speaking, I still take into consideration the difference between each individual tier).Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So I started a new thread and it was closed (it was explained to me why and I understand completely) so that said here is what I am asking.....the players I am interested in are not on the spreadsheet as far as I can tell and cause they are prospects I am supposed to go off their potential, but is that just one value? My guess is not so could I get some values on the following
Cle - Frasico Lindor, ChiC - Javiar Baez and Bos - Xander Bogaerts.
If I can get these values I will then try my hand in the arb threadComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
We don't. We use "high, mid, and low" to seperate the grade levels here. For example, Jurickson Profar is a high A, and Mike Olt is a low A, Jurickson is better by far, but Olt still has good potential. So, to seperate them, we enforced "three-level grading system" to tell apart the "really good" and "not as good" potentials for each grade letter...Comment
