Just saw this trade in my 30 team control franchise:

        Dodgers get:
Ty Wigginton (.286 AVG, 6 RBI, 2 HR, 22 Hits)
        Matt Carpenter (.263 AVG, 14 RBI, 2 HR, 1 SB, 35 Hits)
        Carlos Martinez (1-0, 1.22 WHIP, 0.00 ERA, .242 BAA)
        ___________________________________________
        Cardinals get:
        Kenley Jansen (2-1, 1.25 WHIP, 4.57 ERA, .259 BAA, 30 K, 6 SV)
        Dee Gordon (.280 AVG, 24 RBI, 2 HR, 12 SB, 21 Hits)

This is being offered at the beginning of June and the Cardinals are 5.5 games back of the first place Brewers and the Dodgers lead the AL West by 4.0 games over the Giants.

And another trade is Clint Coulter, Santo Manzanillo and Mark Rogers to the New York Mets in exchange for starter Jon Niese.

Would you like to know if you should allow the trades or not?

No stats given but if the Mets are clearly out of it (early June?) and the Brewers are in the middle of it, I'd say suuuure

No...not realistic. Dee Gordon to the Cards is kind of interesting but not at the expense of Kenley Jansen being a part of the deal as well. I could see Gordon go for another pitching up that's putting up mediocre numbers so one could argue a change of scenery would do both some good but not for C-Mart and Carpenter

Both of those trades are insanely huge no's for me

The Mets are about 7.0 games back I'd I remember correctly and the Brewers are leading the NL Central by about three games over the Pirates.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Big decision. Year 3 of my Mets chise and in 1st in mid July. Major gap is at SS where I have an aging J Roll starting. However I'm constantly trying to trade guys before they are FAs or even arbitration eligible as my budget is still low. Big questions this year are Ike Davis and D'arnaud. Both need to be moved as I can't keep them past this year after I back up the truck to Harvey and Wheeler who are both up for arbitration but ill try to sign both to long deals.

D'arnaud is 86 OVR and I have a good young Catcher behind him so looking for a defensive catcher with team control. Red Sox will give me Allen Webster and Christian Vasquez, an 88 pitcher with under 1 year service time and great defensive catcher. Thoughts? Have tried to get more but doesn't seem to be there. Ill get to Davis after some thoughts.

Idk if I'd trade d'Arnaud, but if you do, you can sure as heck do better than Allen Webster. Who needs a catcher?

D'arnauds back up is already 85 OVR but not a great arm so looking for a good defensive catcher to back him up. I have gone through all teams and nobody will give me an A prospect pitcher besides Webster.

And also, who else do the Red Sox have at catcher at this point? Would D'Arnaud be an upgrade for them?

In my chise the sox are the worst team in the league. Bad contracts and a horrible farm system.

...and that makes you want to trade with them? We can help you whip together a deal with them. If you're not looking to make a deal, you posted in the wrong thread
